Hi guys,

Obviously there are quite a few guys on here making that kind of power....so i was just wondering how much petrol do you use? I plan on getting my car tuned and want to make around 300-330rwkw's but kos its my everyday car i just want to know roughly how many k's im gonna be getting out of my tank....

And i may as well ask at the same time if you guys think i should be able to achieve my target with the following mods....

- Rebuilt engine (forged internals, etc)

- Garrett GT2860r -5's

- Trust cams 264" 9.1mm lift (not yet installed)

- Adjustable cam gears (not yet installed)

- 550cc injectors (not yet installed)

- Z32 AFM's (not yet installed)

- X-Force dump/front pipes

- 3.5" Kakimoto exhaust

- Power FC (still need to get)

- Turbosmart eBoost2 (still need to get)

So im hoping with this set up ill be able to get 300-330rwkw with about 18-20psi.....

Cheers guys!

i dont see why you cant get 400k's to tank with 500rwkw

its how you drive it on the street, if you load it up, its going to use fuel, simple really?

if you drive normal, it won't waste fuel.

this asumes you dont have stupidly large 2300cc injectors and your ecu supports 02 closed feedback and the cruise afr's have been tuned

haha....yeh nah not too concerned about fuel economy, just seeing roughly what i was getting myself in for...i do roughly 450k's a week so if im using almost 2 tanks a week just to get to work then im looking at bout $150-160 in petrol...haha, GOOD TIMES!

yeh i've read a few of those threads, so ill hopefully get it....but i've had pretty sh#t luck with the car so i wont be surprised if i only get 270-280rwkw... :(

you should be able to do 450k's on a single tank

i suggest you review

how you drive (get your gf or mum to drive the car for a week, i bet they can do 450k's to a tank)

your 02 sensor (they need to be replaced peridocially, if youve never done it, change it)

your ecu & tune (cruise afrs make all the difference & make sure 02 feedback is on/supported)

i dont think you will have any problems getting into the 300rwkw mark. Petrol becomes an issue when making that sort of power. im a tad over 300 in my 33 gtst and getting around 200-250kms to a full tank.

jesus thats bad im making 380-400 a tank and im above 330rwkws....

rwkw doesnt have much correlation to fuel economy unless you are like 2000cc or insanely large injectors

its how you drive and how you yank the throttle cable and how well its tuned

there should be no reason you cant get 450ks to tank with 300rwkw

^ exactly on the highway ie last trip from adelaide to melb the R32 GTR (350rwkw 700cc injectors tomei pump PFC) averaged 650kms.... around town expect 450-500 depending on right foot. Stay away from fuel pressure regs and spend the extra on a decent pump.

how much fuel you use more depends on how much time you spend on boost. the more time spent on boost the more fuel you will use. also what sort of driving you do also makes a difference. the term city driving doesn't mean much these days. i drove from albany creek in brissy to mt gravatt and only had to stop about 3 times in 45 mins. that trip would've used a lot less fuel than if i had done it in the worst possible peak hour traffic. if you sit dead stopped in traffic for 20 mins a day (10 mins on the way to work, 10 mins on the way home) you will be wasting a fair bit of fuel every week.

Yeah mainly to do with your driving, assuming you have a good tune.

But on a car fitted with a big turbo, you tend to put your foot down more off boost, which is most of the time if your car is really laggy. Compared to a responsive stock car, where you just have to curl your right toe to get moving.
