so, you found that having no filter (and therefore no flow restriction) produced a better hp result than a filter......

Having no filter at all is good, provided that you drive in a bubble.

When making 164rwkw (219rwhp) on the dyno we did a test to see if the K&N filter would make any more power compared to the stock air box with a new filter.

Re ran the dyno and there was 0rwkw difference. On the dyno run it looked like it picked up maybe 0.05rwkw in the mid range as the lines only were just overlapping.

Maybe the stock airbox isn't providing a restriction yet? Well for me anyhow.

i put one of those works auto pods on my car, they're simota filters. looks good, flows well, sounds cool, except 4 a very faint whistlile sound at about -0.3bar of boost i think it is, real low boost when it first starts to build. just sounds like a little chirp like a bird or somethin.. hehe. i think it's the way the filter is designed, makes this noise on my mates R32 too, yours do it?
