Hey guys I got a 96 S2 Gtst

Just got a Turbosmart supersonic bov and adapter and all was going good for a couple days...

Then just tonight i gave it a few revs standing still n noticed to the revs droped a lil bit lower than usaul then sometimes when i take off then netrual it till i stop it stalls? I have played around with the tension of the Bov as it says to do so but cant seem to find the right spot for it. I dont understand why it doing it now, was ok last couple of days, any thoughts?

Thanks

it happened to me when i got my turbosmart type 2 veeport blowoff valve.

no matter how hard you get the tension it will keep stalling.

if you have a stock computer, then thats the reason it stalls cause the bov vents and the computer is only tuned for the stock bov which re-circulates it.

i ended up putting my stock one back on and no more stalling or you could get a good ecu $1500 and get it tuned for it.

I dont know if you want to stall in the middle of an intersection with a huge semi-trailer heading straight towards you...

Or on a freeway...

Is ur life worth a little "vroom choo?"

One of our family friend died because of that (in his brand new manual Audi, left his wife and children....)

It only stalls when i stop sharply, after ive bin driving for a long time. eg, i went out for a spin last night for a couple hours, all goin good.. then went for sum maccas, pulled into drive thru braked put foot on clutch then stall. then had a lil trouble wif idle, then when back on road again all good.

You do point out a good note thought.

Thats no good jimmytim, sorry to hear that.

All is good now, I made a new gasket for the BOV and sealed it with some gasket goo also, and thorughly cleaned out throtle body etc. Running better than ever now :) Iv tried so hard to make it stall but all is good, and no idle troubles.

    • Is it a dog or synchro box? I guess either way, if it is new and crunching in one gear only, it has to come out and go back to the shop to check/measure as there is either an assembly or manufacturing issue
    • These are small points I should actually add to my original post. GKtech makes an extended slave line for this conversion. It's what I use, and it works well. You'll also need a CD009 slave cylinder.  S/R Chassis Z33/Z34 Conversion braided clutch line As for transmission sensors, you'll need to both extend the wiring and replace the connectors. I can't recall which is which, but one is your neutral switch and the other the reverse switch. As they are just switches, just test for continuity with your transmission in neutral or reverse to figure out which is which. • I’ll try and see it could be the release bearing. As for the 4th gear grind maybe clutch doesn’t disengage properly cause it is slightly like very slightly hard to go into first could be due to the slab cylinder pin being short uni clutch is a twin plate.   Ive attached some assembly photos hopefully you can open the link and see maybe detect what’s wrong https://share.icloud.com/photos/0dc2YvW__Hl6jl-l2_0jejjpg https://share.icloud.com/photos/09e0jkWOK-vP48c1cfY6u3ViA https://share.icloud.com/photos/0b4rDmh5R7pK7fb1VtND73a3g https://share.icloud.com/photos/05eeUi_6dC4DVi80jOUYDgb0g https://share.icloud.com/photos/06335TgY1XxyIJal_wkdQLhzw
