Anyone done their own FMIC install

HSVKLR, you have pics of a HKS i/c install? can i get them off u please?

I've just got my type-s core & piping sitting in the lounge waiting to go on so this thread is just in time.

What did you guys do about that big steel bar that kind of sits behind the bumper? or does the i/c just go behind it?

I'v done mine at my mates work shop. its almost a DIY job. doesnt seem too hard. a few things I think might be helpful.

1) mount the intercooler first. then do the piping.

2) make sure the clamps are really tight

3) measure preciously where the 3inch hole is located

4) put some rubber near that hole. so the pipe wont get damaged by rubbing with the body.
