I know there are heaps on this but I still read differing opinions and as there is a guy selling some coil over (GTR33 but he thinks they will fit Stagea), I want to find out the bottom line.

I was told that the front of the stagea take GTR fittment and the rear takes GTst33. If this is the case its hard to find much to fit.

I have also had others say that GTT34 is the same and R33 GT4 may also fit.Can someone clear this up so I know what I can look at buying that will fit.

Thanks.

you can use an R33 other than GTR

they say to use GTR fronts becuase they are valved differently

I have R33 suspensin on my car, and its fine. no problems at all.

i thought you had to use r34gtr fronts because of how the top mount bolts up to the strut tower?

the only other one that i would imagine fits would be a r33 gts4..?

i was under the impression that r34gtr fronts and r33 gtst rears would bolt up fine, although it's best to get stiffer rears than normal to compensate for the extra weight..

incorrect

33gtst will work on all 4 corners

buy a set of coilovers designed for a stagea and be done with it.

i have 2 sets of coilovers coming my way at the moment, ones a set of G4 coilovers for a stag, $1399, easy as!

it will fit using a R33Gtr front shock and a R33GTST rear. but the calcing would be wrong for the rear since a gtst is lighter than a stagea.

i have had no issues with the valving

i have had no issues with the valving

you honestly think rear suspension designed for a 1350kg coupe with little rear overhang is suitable for a 1600kg wagon with plenty of rear overhang PLUS the abilty to load the rear shocks up even more with luggage?

i have had no issues with the valving

not to be a dick

but do you know when a shock is over or undervalved for hte application?

do yuo track your car

has your car ever been in a situation where you would KNOW its wrong?

The r33 isnt stiff enough for the stageas ass end

they doo right lighter than the actual stagea suspension.

they are a tad more "plush" of a ride

Got a link as to where u got them from??

I was under the assumption that the G4's didn't have a set for the stagea, but if there is & at that price, that'll work a treat for what l need.

I have had no issues as yet... havent loaded it up, but it feels okay.

I have a rough idea of when things are over/undervalved from my 16... There is a reason why i didnt go Koni's this time round.

My shocks will be revalved to suit my springs when i get them, but at the moment low on funds after a lot of 'preventative maintenance.'

I wouldnt say to buy and forget, but if they are standard in the short term its okay.

What about damper adjustable coilovers?

-Ryan

unless you go out and get yourself a set of individually adjustable compression and rebound dampning you really cant make up anything

most coilover adjustt he both at the same time, which realy sucks imo
