www.mcmaster.com -> type 'perforated' in find products search bar to the left -> Select Perforated Aluminium Sheets -> Select your hole diameter and decide what size you want, site provides a scale next to a guys thumb. you'll want something reasonable size if its for the 'mouth' of the front bar, especially if you have a FMIC

I got mine from a glass & aluminium business, they make windows and security screen doors. I got some nice dense black mesh off-cuts for free and it looks pretty sweet. I don't have any photos, but it's like that stuff you have on screen doors (not flywire) but nice thick powder-coat stuff.

Yep the screendoor and fly screen places have the best selelctrion, and its really solid... really hard to bend the stainless steel stuff but great finish... I found the normal auto acces. places had only the tacky lookin large holed stuff bugs and stones could go straight thru it...

it depends on what you want it for. if it is for a CAI duct or to cover the intercooler to hide it then you want one with larger holes to allow maximum airflow. if it is too tightly meshed it will restrict a lot of air.

killer thread, just what i was looking for. I was looking in like bunnings and shit, but screen door place def sounds the trick.

All the "auto" stuff is cheap, and the black fades and looks like crap.

so most people have got free cut-offs from the screen places?

anyone got pics?

    • As far as I know, Infiniti stopped importing vehicles before 2020, even though they were still selling their stock for at least a year or 2 after that, they were older build years, therefore, you can import a 2020 400R, because you couldn't buy an AuDM 2020 built Q50 RS. As for insurance, you might need to go through one of the enthusiast insurance companies, they tend to insure a lot more grey import models than the mainstream insurers as Duncan mentioned.
