Can Someone Recommend Me A Mobile Mechanic For Car Inspection

Hey guys,

my friend is interested in a Silvia and I've looked over the car for him. He just needs a qualified mechanic to look over the car before he decides to buy it. Can you guys recommend me some people.

RAA inspections

Must say they're comprehensive. Cost is roughly $170 for a full mechanical (thats what it cost me when i checked up on the ute - check with them on pricing first tho), and the results are faxed same day / next day and they are thorough.

take it to a workshop. like boostworks. or even a place called motocheck, (i think thats what there called) and they do a compression test on the motor.

i kno it was only a commo i bought, but they did a comp test on it too

didnt know what they knew about imports, so was worth at least making the suggestion

I wont comment on wat was said but the inspector was a fool.

Cheers guys for the response. My mate ended up getting a mechanic to check it out and I have heard stories with RAA, they don't seem to know much about imports and turbos.

RAA is useless. I used them when I had a Bluebird inspected. All they told me was that the exhaust was "louder than a regular bluebird"... well, the car did have a 2.5" cat-back system on it and a 3" canon
