normally there is a factory reset button, or you can just remove the 12V+ constant and that should reset it, enabling it to read if there is something in there...

OR we could let someone who takes 38 minutes to change 4 tyres, try and pull a Compact Disc player apart...

x2, my olde kenwood deck had a small hole u can push with the tip of a ball point pen to reset. obvioisly you'll lose all your radio presets etc but cd should come out
