even if you fed the engine a never ending suppy of tall d cupped shaved virgins is shouldnt make that much diffrence!

i dunno. if they were regular then sure, but shaven certainly adds a couple hundred horse power to my engine...

Fantastic effort guys! ya did Oz proud. Also, given the budget & time constraints it's a testament to Aust'n tuning & build quality.

The UK contingent did great but were plagued with numerous problems, despite having the resources of a big local company backing them.

Great stuff guys, just shows that the local boys dont have the mortagate on engineering expertise or driver talent. Well done. I get the feeling that Richard might not be the only tourist there to cheer you guys on next year.

hey guys

i just want to thank you all for the congratulations! it was an awsome experience. i really ejoyed the racing and the people and the experience, the english lads were really nice too! we didnt get get on it with them as they had many late nights working on the cars!

just reading what sydneykid was saying, it is absolutely correct tyres really cost us!! but all experience learned , the car had a 58 in it on these tyres but required more time in the last session (only 10 minutes & slow cars on track meant four quick laps and couldnt get tyre temp)

all things going well we will be back there next year ( in the r34) with a car that runs 50 flat or better on the sprint at qr and sub 1 minutes at wakefield on semi's, that has to be the new goal!

i will post some pics on incar tonight hopefully when i have had a rest, just flew in this morning.

marks already got his head under the bonnet of a gtr back here! :) , we have heaps of ideas!

i cant say enough what a cool trip it was to go to the nismo festival(huge! i think i saw over seventy gtr's, 4 gtr 400's in a row on the road while eating breakfast before heading to fuji and the track setup would have been two to three times the size of eastern creek!!) and then tsukuba which is not a big track but very up close and personal with some very very special cars!! rocommended to all

jdm car freaks.

i would also like to thank the people who helped us with knowledge and products, the car was a reliable bullet and we couldve done fifty laps around there in one session, i think we would be the only ones that could say that!

p.s we didnt see the american subaru there and the hks evo was still on its way back from buttonwillow in the states (where it kicked there asses!), the driver of the hks evo jumped the uk evo and managed a sub 1 minute for that car.

      The trigger kit I have is similar to the one in the link below. While going through Facebook, I saw someone else mention a similar issue, and I’m starting to think this could be related to the crank gear itself. I understand these parts are CNC machined, but maybe some earlier versions or individual pieces might have slight inconsistencies—it just doesn’t look right in my case. https://www.facebook.com/share/16an8evZd9/?mibextid=wwXIfr I originally installed the crank gear using the thin OEM washer, but as shown in the attached photo, the timing belt walks very close to the edge. When I tried using a Nitto washer—which is thicker—it actually made the issue worse. The belt walks about 1mm off the front edge, which raises more concern about alignment.   I’ve gone through the full process of elimination:   The tensioner pulley and bolt are brand new and installed correctly. The bolt isn’t bent and is oriented properly. The back of the tensioner and the idler pulley are clean and seated correctly. The idler sits slightly more forward, which I understand is due to its design. I’ve experimented with both tight and loose belt tension, but it makes no difference. As soon as the engine runs, the belt immediately walks forward again—even if I reset it beforehand.     At this point, I’m considering replacing the crank gear with your Race Version 1 (12-tooth), but before purchasing, I wanted to ask:   Are you aware of any alignment issues when using this gear? Would this gear help keep the belt aligned correctly, or could the walking still occur? Does it work with a standard missing-tooth crank and rear washer? Is there any specific crank setup or install procedure required?     For reference, I’m not using a front washer, as the PRP crank gear seems to replace the need for one.   Looking forward to your advice.

      Yuh, My new R34 box is sitting on the workshop floor (in its large shipping box, which is a nice thing on its own), along with a front plate to convert to push clutch. There was no way I was interested in rebuilding my existing one. Was only partly interested in the risk of buying a used one. But, if you want a 2nd hander, I can point you to one in/near Melbourne at least. @Komdotkom has one that should be in good enough condition to be usable. I don't think it's in a for sale thread, you'd have to message him. @redzedhas one that definitely needs a rebuild.
