cheers for the wank factor guys. everyone to there own opinion. i have the flutter on my car as i really didnt want the $500 bill just to buy a bov to plumb it back as i think the whole extra loud bov's just attract to much attention and scream look at me.

with the screamer pipe i have one of those as well. but if you want you can drive and even use boost if u want with out using this too much. yes it can be rather loud and a pain in the ass under heavy boost. i am thinkin of putting it back into my exhaust as its too loud for me. but it is good fun for scaring the fark out of those bastard who will not get out of the right lane while sitting under the speed limit.

i think the whole wank factor is the ppl that try and get ppl to look at them. eg loud bov's and screamer pipes on cars that just go nowhere and are thrashed.

yo bud :D

set up properly a 'screamer pipe' on internal wastegate can sound the same as a 'screamer pipe' which is the pipe used off a external gate, the reason y external gates are used are because the turbos they are used on have to big a exhaust wheel in the turbo housing there for there is no room for a internal gate in the housing. also ppl run gates as there controller big HP drag cars in japan dont run boost controller just a certain 'wieght' spring in their external gates, bu like shane said there alot of the cheap bolt on screamers thats sound like a wet fart or excel :(

Hey champ!

    • It's more like on average the things I see a lot of things going wrong. Yes, usually the people who reach out are the ones who are having problems but on average it feels like mechanics and tuners here aren't really competent. I swing between thinking my standards are just way too high and wondering whether people really are just this dumb. I just had the strangest 10+ reply argument on a Facebook group over someone insisting that the factory R34 GTT boost control solenoid reduces boost pressure to 5 psi when it's on and raises boost pressure to 7 psi when it's off despite showing the exact plumbing in the factory service manual and the solenoid behavior detailed in the FSM.
    • I steam cleaned my near new set of volk gtc wheels 14 years ago and farrkkked them lol. The clear coat cracked like spider webbing in several areas. Lesson learnt don't do that. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

    • Yeah, my moulds and seals are 32 years old now. I think I will continue to not use a pressure washer on it.
    • I hear the old "I'd never use a pressure washer on my motorbike" BS in the dirtbike community too.ย  The only people that have had a problem from using a pressure washer on anything are the people that aren't using them properly.ย  If you hold the wand any more than 45 cms away from pretty muchย anything (radiators, wiring connectors, paint, etc) you aren't going to cause any damage.ย  We've had detailers wreck moulds and seals on cars at work before and the only reason why is they held the pressure washer too close and on the one spot for too long.ย  If you have 5% more brain power than a detailer then you know not to not do that and you'll never have a problem.
