Yeh mate, that inner guard needs to come out and be chucked....lol Lip/roll the guards and drop her a little and bobs your uncle! But going on your previous 32, you know what your doing anyways!! :)

Yeh Boostworx are really good on prices, they charge what people should charge, none of this "yeh mate thats gonna be $1,374,724.00 for that tune" "oh and i boosted it to 2,583psi, But geez look at your power figures"!!

My last tune was through Steve at manta racing and it cost $350. He takes the car to wilall racing where Peter Hall did the tune and my 32GTR put out 292rwkws at only 1.1bar of boost. Martin tuned the car at Tilbrooks before that and the car was doing 299rwkws. Peter however said it was to close to detonation. (same boost)

This is with no cams, standard injectors and no boost controller.

I run 34GTR N1 turbos and they are better than the stock turbos by far. Spool up quicker and more power.(259rwkws)

from stock turbos and nothing else changed.

I didnt think that you could run that much boost on N1 turbos (40psi) . I hit full boost by 4,000rpm .

? where in your rev range would you be able to spool up 40psi ?

haha..it was just an example mate, as in the turbo's can take whateva boost levels you can throw at them. I dont no where in the rev range 40psi would come on but I no people running high 30psi on built engines and they seem to like it.

    • ..could be worse... but out here, renting private affords some luxuries ...we've even been told the Sept dateline isn't critical, and I'd rather move stuff in the cool of winter, than slogging it out in the heat. Recall we were talking about the million dollar view this place has?...that's what he got for it... (won't be so nice when the quarry happens at the back in the future...lol..)... ...cool, I'll stick the wiper motor in a wee box...umm.... the pinny is GLX trim ~ I think that's about as close as it gets to Silo spec when it comes to the S2 pinny...ie; electric mirrors etc etc...dunno about the trip computer/wiring...I do electronics repair, I'd be willing to take a look at it for you. As you saw, all the dash is there in that car..and thinking about it, it'd be easier to pull the whole center section out, rather than just the ashtray and rails, but your call...
    • The "sacrifice of low end" is now basically irrelevant in 2025. Turbo/ecu/fabrication/and other tech advancements gives a vast array of options to mitigated any of it. My setup now is a fantastic example of this. 300whp / 20psi @ 3500rpm from a 600hp turbo setup on a notoriety low reading Dyno Dynamics roller dyno, is almost unmatched on all of SAU and other forums. The only other turbo i've seen that can achieve this is a BW EFR + twin scroll / twin gates etc etc etc... ps. tuned by Matty Spry at P.I.T.S as far as getting to the 600 figure, while enlarging your itb's alone probably won't get you there, as Sucram has stated above, it will certainly help. Just do it Predator1 my brother hahaha 🙂
    • I use Taaarks/efi solutions ones. Years, and no issues.
    • At the Botany heavy vehicle inspection centre. At the time there were only 2 locations that did IM240 testing for free, the other location was at Penrith. I did a quick google, seems like the Botany and Penrith inspection centre is closed now though About an hour of my time.  At the time you could. They are closed now   No it was Government run, the site was attached to the RTA from memory. The guys running it at the time were awesome, if you didn't pass the test, they handed you the results and said make changes to your car/tune and have another go later. You drove in registered, failed, and drove out registered.   Obviously though if you were defected, sent there, failed. You remained unregistered.  From my 5 minutes of research (have a look at the date on my test results) looks like things have changed. So, I can't see any way to get this test done for free now Seems like you'll need to call around the engineering places doing the Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme or call around workshops with a dyno and try and get a RG240 test. No idea how expensive that is though or how easy it is to find a place offering it.  Bit depressing learning about this now. The first car I had engineered in NSW cost me about $250 all up.... So kids these days can't buy houses, looks like getting your car legal and engineered in NSW is another thing on the list of things they can't afford. Great.
    • That makes sense. Thanks!
