Hey rev210, got the turbo i was talking to you (I think) about & computer. now make 198kw at wheels !!. Low boost as well (12lb) as I haven't yet got a air temp meter. When have that winding up to 17lb !!!

Soon get the variable cam gears & maybe the underdrive...

Apprently GFB refuse to make a pulley kit for the RB engines because it will comprimise the engine longetivity wise..

"However, this is not the case for all engines, many of them do require the use of the harmonic balancer to prevent failure. Skylines with the RB20, 25 and 26 are a good example of this, which is why we don't make a pulley kit for them."

A lightened flywheel is a much better mod (a lot more rotational inertia is relieved from a lightened flywheel than a pulley!)

GFB don't make one because they can't be assed.

'V' configuration engines suffer greatly from harmonic imbalances, and yet they make a pulley for the VG30?

I corresponded with them quite a while back and it was just a case of not seeing a market.

If you commit to 500 peices they will take your money right now and start making them without the ' prevent failure' crap.

I would like to know if the front pulley on the RB26 is the same because Trust seem to produce a fully pulley kit.

Thanks for the info , what brand of flywheel are most people using (who have the aftermarket ones) and what sort of money would I be looking at ?

Also, what sort of power increase do you normally get ?

$650 AUS for an Ogura chrome molly 4.8kg (factory around 10kg)

thats a hyge difference !!! Car, you would think, would rev bloody quickly ! Would that make the car more of a pig to drive ?

car is not a pig. Drive nice, like stock.

The addition of only the flywheel dropped my 1/4 mile by 0.4sec to 13.4 (real dragstrip ).
