the speed signal also affects your HICAS and ATTESA (if you have a GTR or GTS4) so I wouldn't go cutting it. I mean think logically, Nissan's not gonna have a speed sensor on a mechanical speedo equipped car for no reason.

If you have a GTSt with no HICAS then you shouldn't have any use for it.

I traced all of the wiring when my HICAS played up, 1 wire comes from the speedo to a spitter, then from there 1 goes to the ECU, 1 goes to HICAS, and 1 goes to ATTESSA. So if you cut it at the ECU it won't affect the others.

Oh ok. that must be the reason why mine stoppped working in the 33 when i cut the wire.

why would you want to go over 180 in a stock 32? it would be boring

because out at baskie i do 165 - 170km down the back straight and with a few decent mods i have planned i will be hitting the restricter and we dont want that now do we.

also thanks for the responses everybody, keep 'em coming!, i'll have a look at my ecu wiring asap.

r32gtrpowa how much u want for the speed meter?
