Intake Cam Bolt Stuck

Hey all. I am just in the middle of changing the timing belt on my rb25det and i wanted to change the cam oil seals as well because they came in the kit that i got. I have got the exhaust cam off but now i am stuck trying to get the intake one off.

I have taken the rocker cover off and i was holding the cam with a spanner and using the breaker bar on the intake bolt. But this dam thing wont come undone.

Should i just go for a huge ass lever and keep trying. I am affraid that i might damage something if i get too crazy.

Any ideas on what ya reckon is the best idea.

hmm yeah you shouldn't have that much trouble - i did mine with just the timing belt still on and it came off easily (by the way, this is not the recommended method!!!)

but yeah get someone to hold the spanner on the cam and you undo the cam gear bolt. toughen up petal ;D
