They look amazing - something very different.

What sort of note will they make? Do any of the V8Supercar teams run these mufflers? Some of the teams (DJR for one) have a very different note to the others.

I will have to call around and check them out.

Nice! I like the mufflers... How much noise does it dampen? I need to go under 90DB on my car, or I cant get it approved for the track...

You need to hurry up a bit, or I may finish before you... :D

My car is almost finished up welding, only a couple of days left, and its going to my Roll-Cage builder this weekend...

And everything under the car is on its way, so soon its only Electrical, Paint and interior left... :)

im not sure yet as to the DB of the car, but the guy who did the mufflers also has these inserts for the exhaust tip that will take another 4db out if necessary. Under 90db is less than we can run on the street i think.

after another read of the cams rule book i have learned that i will require a transmission scatter shield or blanket, a rain light and some kind of crumle zone packing made of either alluminium or nomex to run between the rear of the car & the fuel tank.

The trans blanket is not an issue as RCI make SFI 14.1 universal blankets. the rain light is also no drama, but this nomex packing has got me stumped, but have been given some leads on it by

Duncan. Also researching rear wings.

to be honest Roy its hard to know which ones are for pretty and which ones actually are functional.

The Voltex units look the go but not sure on price, i think expensive. These APR wings are about $600. But dont know anything about them.

Let me you know how you go with rear wings. I am hoping something i am working on pans out but finding a functional yet attractive wing to suit an R32 is a challenge .

yeh going to leave it for now, have been given some good advice by members in regards to this, ill look into it again later if the car set-up requires it.

hmm i am very dubious of the ricer wings. pretty sure no super cars choose to run wings looking like that.

the wing on John's Z is more like it to me.

this is back on the cards again, should have it by the end of the week, once fitted i should be able to fire her. hope it fits under-bonnet.

have been looking at intake manifolds for a while, the Harrop item was looking like the go

but after some research it was found that it would be difficult to adapt different length ram tubes to it as it was designed to fit in the commodore and this is not an option due to bonnet height etc. harrop was also very difficult to get in contact with as they do not return faxes or email. obviously dont want to sell any.

Came across another Australian made intake, well priced and is designed for interchanging ram tubes. i also know the guy who spins them up so can get a few sets made. once car is back on the ground and engine fitted im hoping to get one of these babies.

That's one nice looking intake!

What is the price, and do they make one that fits L92 heads?

i know harrop do a manifold to suit l92, im not sure if theses guys do.... ill find out.

starting price is $3500

i had actually looked at that one and don mind the look of it, it also looks to be adjustable on both planes but the guys reckon its not much chop. so im not sure....

Just jap make an almost exact copy of the R34 GTR wing...

I would suggest reinforcing the boot as it tends to flex a little bit

meaning that it is more for decoration rather than downforce. If some-one uses this wing on a circuit car and could give some positive feed-back on its perfomance i would be more than happy to use it. but at the moment cant find any-one. It was also commented that the end-plates are not indicative of a circuit style wing.

It is adjustable on both planes :) Dunno what you mean by not much chop though...

looks like you have plenty of positive angle on it. i dare say it would work fine, just want to be sure.

well it has bent my boot a little bit due to the downforce... It wasn't always like that...

But if someone who knows a thing or two says otherwise I would probably listen to them :)

easy big fella, i actually lile that wing... as for stereo ill take your word for it.

Car will definately be finished at electricians this week-end. Also am expecting inlet manifold to show up this week. Have all the components for exhaust and have started making catch cans.

its very close, but still have to tune and then set-up suspension before i run it. Any track days in april or may are lookong good.

don't listen to doof, he just does leb laps around the place with his stereo on 11/10

    • Hi, does anyone know how I can, or can a moderator remove this advertisement please.  Has been sold a long time ago and would like to remove references. Thanks.
    • There are adaptors that allow you to delete the booster and use an s15 clutch master cylinder.    if you want to keep the booster they are still available brand new
    • I visited again today: It would appear they have painted the main body of the car and some parts of some of the panels, so I can say that I now have BMW parts in my car, much to the envy of @Dose Pipe Sutututu It is still covered in dust which is quite the tease but I did look at a few circumspect spots that will be behind bumpers and such and wiped some dust away: After my repeated begging to PLEASE DONT PAINT OVER THE ENGINEERING CERTIFICATE (you have to re-engineer the entire car if they do) I see THIS: Which is great. Excellent job tbh at least to me. A better non dusty example would be the backs of the doors that have been painted: Giving a reasonable contrast between old and new (I know the old isn't clear coated on the inside of doors). The door card will well and truly cover where the old paint is, you can see in the second pic some of the black butyl/whatever shit is sticking the plastic sheet behind the door transfer that has happened since it's clearly been stuck back on. The most maddening thing about this colour is every time I saw it in the wild it looks like another colour, same with photos of many cars with the same colour looking wildly different in every photo anybody ever takes and this is no exception. But stand a little further back and it suddenly looks dark AF. I did tell them when I was discussing which of the 70 million charcoal colours to choose from (a porsche one, a BMW one, or a R32 GTR one etc) that if they just ignored me and chose one at random I would probably never notice. Maybe they did. But the colour is supposed to be B39 (BMW Mineral Gray). Boring I know, but the R34 sedan (to me) really shows off it's boat-ness when you paint it in a bright colour like bayside blue or white or whatever else. I do have a fondness for AR2 Nissan Red, but decided against that because it'll have pretty odd contrast to random bits unpainted (like engine bay, bits of trim etc, and maybe it'll fade). And people will always fkin comment on AR2. Everything remains super dusty. I have tracking numbers for the new heads, as well as some Improved Racing goodies, but they probably will be a next year thing by the time they end up on the car. I did some maths on the heads and I know why nobody goes to this extent in Australia, because it's really not worth it, given I could have just CNC'ed my current heads, bought a FAST102/TB and used my current rocker/spring/cam combination and get a 383 stroker (or stroked a 6.0 GenIV bottom end to 6.6L) built for the same price of just the setup in the mail/on the floor here. Or I could have bought a LS3 and a Drysump system. And then have a complete engine to sell. Oh well
    • We just disconnected the vacuum line if I remember correctly, booster is still there. Is there a rebuild solution for the booster or a different adapter that will work for GTR chassis?
    • Yeah 4wd (boosted) has a recess in the firewall for the booster, and 2wd is flat - the example in the link shows the flat surface. When you deleted the booster, did you just attach the factory slave cylinder directly to the recess in the firewall with no adaption?
