hey, i have just bought an oil presure gauge and as it is an electrical one i was wondering if its at all possible to just splice it with the stock one behind the cluster and if it is possible which wire behind the cluster should i splice it to?

doubt it. The stock oil pressure sender will send through a signal and you will probably get something on the guage but its not going to be accurate. You will need to use the sender they provide you with the guage. Most people get an oil pressure sandwich plate to mount the sender to

the signal from the back of the cluster would only be active if the oil pressure drops below a certain value (eg 10psi) therefore lighting the oil signal on the cluster

an oil pressure gauge sensors the constant changing pressure so you need to have a sender unit that will give an ohms value that the gauge can read
