What Is The Cheapest Best Electronic Bc?

I have a turbotech MBC which drops boost off by 3 psi and im not happy with it. I would like to hold the boost at a desired level and im assuming an electronic boost controller will solve this issue. I wanted to know if there were any specific best Electronic boost controllers for GTT R34 or skylines in general.

Im thinking maybe go for Greddy ones, as i found one thats $400 and i thought it was REAL CHEAP for an electronic, but then again im abit worried why its so cheap? maybe it can't hold boost long??

I need some advice on which electronic boost controller that holds boost right thru please. and thanks in advanced...

I have found the Apexi AVC-R to work well on my car and paid 500 like 2 years ago roughly brand spanker, so im guessing they would of gone down abit.

i had a profec B on my last car and never had a problem, also putting one on my r34 too. i think there great for the price.

Some ppl whinge the AVC-R is no good; hard to get stable boost when bleeding a large amount (low wastgate spring tension, high desired boost level) but as with most things, i believe you need to find someone with good experience in the EBC you do choose, (or be willing to ask lots of Q:'s and really research their setup if doing so yourself) ... much the same as a ECU.

Going by your wording, im assuming you don’t feel like spending a lot of time setting up a Gizmo or a Jaycar unit yourself

The dual solenoid unit Blitz SBC IDIII seems to be the flavour atm, the unit without the screen is a lot cheaper. Profec, AVC-R should all suit your need fine providing you have someone that can set them up properly.

Early model ProfecB for me, dyno graph shows it holds constant boost all the way to redline. Can't complain.

GIZZMO IBC... if its good enough to hold 2.65 bar on DSPORTS 1037hp GTR it will hold yours fine

I'm using an Apexi-Avcr (blue screen) one had i on the car for ages now.

I've achieved a steady 18-19psi til redline with a VG30 GCG highflow on r34 stock actuator and GT-R Bov along with the Avc-r

going to a dyno day on saturday so i'll post up a graph when i have it.

BUT as others have said mixed results, and i spent some time on the run tuning it.

I bought a gizmo, using on stock turbo would fall from 15psi at 2500rpm to 8psi at redline, I was gett more stable control (14psi to about 12) using the stock double actuator and a bleeder together. Totally disappointing controler! just behaved like a bleeder.

The boost level im only trying to achieve is 14 psi max, prob alil less down to 0.85 bar, but i don't want it losing any little boost at all. I've always heard the Greddy Profec B or something was really good for it but im pretty cheap at the moment as i got my R33 stolen 2 weeks ago and now trying to do up the R34 with alittle financial struggle.

never ever had an issue.... who set it up? they are pretty fool proof if you read the instructions...... in real time dyno testing we have seen them outdo all but the dsbc from blitz.

If you're looking to get a stock RB25 turbo (assuming you're still using it) holding 12-13psi until redline it won't happen. It's not the boost controller, it's that the turbo can't flow enough air to keep the pressure up. They all drop towards 10-11psi.
