Anyone Running Hks 2540's On An Rb26?

Has anyone got these on a standard bore GTR running all the bolt ons with cams and a single TB plenum??

What power are you getting out of them at roughly 1.5 bar, and whats the spool like?

there would be better suited twins out there, the 2530s will have better response

the 2540s are a suspect known laggy combination so avoid them if you can

Yea i 2nd that i think they will be a little laggy for a standard Block ... Have you ever thought of getting N1s they are so responsive on the street ....

I swapped my 2860's for the 2540's as the 2860's ran out of puff at the top end. It's a weekend car so not bothered about a bit of lag. The 2860's are really responsive but having more lag doesn't bother me.

I'm looking to get 700bhp out of them if possible.

Should have gotten -5's.

2540's are a mis-match. Hardly anymore power over 2530's really, with just added lag and poor response. They honestly dont make a good turbo, and hence no-one runs them.

When you can make over 400+rwkw on them with response to match (2530s/-5's), i dont think you can go much further

I did have -5's, I was looking at getting a T51R or T04Z.

If they are that bad I will just sell them and go for a big single.

Oz has them on his new GTR. Seems to be enjoying them so far. I'm trying to organise a track day atm so will check them out.

I'd say about 420kW.

700hp x .75 = 525 kW

525 x .8 (approx 20% drivetrain loss) = 420
