guys,

Just want to know how u can check the timing on rb's? and how do u adjust it? also what should the timing be set at with following mods on my RB20DET:

*std ecu with hks fuel cut defender

*full 3 inch exhaust

*front mount

*highflow r33 turbo

*fuel pressure reg

*14psi boost

bit unsure atm....i have never done the timing on my car before, thought it might be worth a look.

use a timing gun and take the coil pack cover off, put the pick up sensor on the number one coil pack wire, then with engine idling aim the gun at the harmonic balancer, Base timing for an RB20det should be 15 degrees, this is changed by moving the crank angle sensor.

I recommend changing the timing on the dyno only if you have mods.
