Hi Guys,

Anyone had any experience with this item ??

I Know some members here have the PULL type HKS on GTR's (RB26DETT & some others who have only negative feedback) but the item I have is definitely PUSH type for RB25. Is it a Barry Crocker, or a good score for AUD$600 ??

Thanks in advance legends !!

The GD Max twin plater is not a bad thing…

It is a pretty good all rounder… Its sprung centre identifies it.

The GD Pro is a bit harsh (take up) for a daily driver (solid centre)

Pedal feel is good for both… (But that’s just my opinion)

Assuming you've got a GD Max, it's a steal for $600 if it's new / not worn out.

The rec retail is somewhere around $3500 for these things.

Will hold upto 300kw to the rear wheels… No problem…

Hope that helps.

Cheers

thanks Toda,

It's a GD Pro (solid centre)

About 40% worn.

My car is pretty much stock, I found replacement plates on HKS USA website for USD$150 ea. I'm reckoning that being a near-stocker it should last for ages - and when the time comes to rebuild, should be pretty economical.

What are your thoughts ??

Cheers very much.

N.P.

It sounds like a good buy... (Assuming it is only 40% worn)

If you're able to put up with it in traffic, you're onto a good thing.

Btw, There are complete overhaul kits available for these clutches also should any other components require replacing when it comes time to overhaul it.

Don't forget to check the condition of your flywheel bolts and use a spot of loctite on each.

Thanks for the tips...

I've inspected it ( disassembled ) & there's still plenty of meat on the discs ( both sides of both plates).

don't suppose you'd know the part# on the thrust bearing ?

would like to have all parts before I start.

Thanks so much for your help !!

This puppy rocks da house !!

Awesome feel & smooth take-up... a l i t t l e grabby, but easy to manipulate in traffic. not heavy at all. The fitter was astounded how easy it was to drive given it's not centre sprung. Highly recommended. rebuild kits are cheap. five stars.
