hey guys, i've read up on older threads, but would like a pinpointed answer if possible.

i own an r32 gts-t, and just recently installed an exedy heavy duty cushioned button clutch. everything else is standard.

i went for a hard drive the other day and stopped as i noticed a couple things:

the gear stick has started to rattle for starters.

if i've stopped, engage clutch, and put it into 1st i get a slight "gunk" sound. if i then try doing it again it won't make the sound until i move forward and repeat the same step.

i also noticed when slowing down to a stop, if i clutch in, hold the clutch, and put it into 1st i gear i hear a high pitched wheel sound.

obviously this is gearbox related, but i'd like to know what exactly could be fried and is it worth to rebuild or just replace?

Maybe as your running "eleventy billion rwkw@3psi" (lol) you need to be looking at more robust internals. Dont know if the OSG kit will work in that transmission but its on the list of upgrades for my 32R.

haha. :P

nah my car is pretty much internally and bolt-on standard. i will be reaching the 200rwkw stage soon but i've been told that my stock gearbox should be able to handle this.

i'm just still curious what could be fkd in the gearbox to cause these probs. especially the gear stick rattling. it's doing my head in!

anyone else have any ideas? i'm sure there's some drive train minded sau'ers!

Fine. :nyaanyaa:

You'll be sure to hear about it if mine breaks.

Over clutching a car is a bad thing when you are not making big power, especially with the 20t gearbox.

thanks bud. i'll keep it in mind. let's see how long it lasts :yucky:

thanks everyone for your help :worship:
