plans are changin design wise, my mate was having a look at Podlewski's trailer

fold up ramps = no need for tilt = cost saving

ka-ching ka-ching

yeah, but did you see him putting it on the trailer, front bar was nearly ripped off, but i guess yours aint as low as his, and i dont see how making ramps would work out cheaper than tilt, you sort of need both, and remeber that big ramps = more weight to tow around

yeah, and we've already considered how not to do it after seeing that LOL. The cost saving is purely on that the price he'd given me already hadnt factored ramps (as they were going to be the last thing made anyway), plus you have to have some way of tilting (either a jack / air bag system / etc). The need to not have to tilt has made it a lil bit clearer now  Tilt will still be an option for his future constructions though.

ramps will be made slightly differently to simon's trailer, just the same sort of idea (hinged half way). Luke was talkin bout makin them out of aluminium as opposed to steel anyway (light weight but strong)

Matty, when i see you next i will explain how simple tilt is to make, as i use to make many different styles of tilt, but sort of need to know you basic design to see if it could work, and im more than happy to help out if reqired.

What you think? New from Nissan or just grab one from the wreckers and save some $$$?

Dont get second hand suspension parts (that wear - anything with ball joints etc.) - order a pair of new ones and enjoy the improved ride quality. Some cars chew through tie rods quicker than others (my old valiants were only good for 40,000km if I was lucky) but the improvement when you replaced them was very noticable.

windows vista os composed of 100% pure fail.

farkin, been working on putting some music on a dvd for about 2 hours, havent even got the first discography on the f**king playlist yet. stupid vista. like i said. fail.

i thought we were destined to bad lock due to AWD

could always go aftermarket ikeya formula items. Get more steering lock.

maybe your hardware only just met the minimum requirements there fore vista would run like crap, Cubes says vista isnt too bad

its jam packed full of errors and fail. never using it again.

EDIT

oh i keep sending people on my msn list some sort of spam email

ive checked for virus's trojens only cam up with 6 in avast and got deleted and about 22 in search and destroy and got rid of them and adaware found nothing  im stumped oh and all these spam mail's aren't in my sent box

Last night I was sitting at home contemplating a quiet night on SAU. An hour later im in a stretch hummer with MC Mayhem, DJ Spin Doctor and DJ Demise, on our way to Live (old night train) for some RNB party.

Myself and Chad had a couple of quiet beers, while our friend Miss R33 had, well, quite a few too many  Was very funny to watch

Interesting.. The bikes aren't all that much quicker than the a mildly tuned skyline with decent tyres.

Riiiiiiiight! :)

Hmm, thats what we hear the wishful drifters say all the time after our daytime track sessions.

A CBR1000R with slicks ridden by a decent A/B class racer = 1m07s

C/D class racer semi-slicks = 1m14s

V8 Supercar driver = 1m08s

Production car racers = 1m24s

And the average joe in his skyline is also running around those 1m24s times. 10 seconds is alot when it comes to the track. :D

think Joel means your average shmo with a straight street bike against a skylines with sticky street tyres and maybe boost wound up nothing hard from each camp

And are we putting this average street rider with a stock bike against an average driver with an average car?

Or is it only the Skyline driver with the sticky tyres and boost allowed to have the advantage?

:D

Only recently they pit a worked Monaro against a stock Triumph 675 at Phillip Island, and the Triumph won! And we don't consider the Triumph anywhere near a match for something like a CBR or R1 or ZX10 or GSXR.

Series hybrid at low speeds, at higher speeds the engine directly drives the wheels but there can still be some power bled off to charge the battery + the electric motor can still provide parallel assistance too. It's really only a question of will at that point. Toyota's PHEVs are selling incredibly well at the moment because of the flexibility. You can run on EV mode when it makes sense, but if you're planning on doing a long highway drive you can still fire up the gas engine and not have to worry about dealing with the rather miserable state of public charging infrastructure.
    • Only reason to keep a MAF on your RB25 is to be able to easily calculate true VE if you know what the factory voltage curve represents in grams per second of flow. Also allows you to do things like pull the original OEM ignition + AFR target tables and use those as a starting point for your base map. Once you're well and truly done tuning though there's no need to retain the MAF.
    • Do you think they'll merge there performance divisions and we'll end up HoMo?
    • Very true, if buying new, I would not get an PP either. Minimum is an Elite 2500, which is also considered outdated. Get something that supports DBW, delete that cable throttle. Best thing I've ever done to the Skyline, next best is refreshing the A/C with a new condenser. It's cold, but not as cold as modern car, but colder than most 90s JDM shit boxes imported into Australia.
