I think it's just under 4000rpm. It's a GT2871R 52T.

This graph is the GT2871R Vs' my old T28 at similar boost. This shows it's not so much about when peak boost is but more the flow at certain boost levels.

As you can see the T28 produces boost a lot earlier but even with less boost the GT2871R isn't far behind. In fact the 2871 curve is even better now, because after that run we fixed up the hole in the bottom end which was caused by the secondary butterflies opening too early for the bigger turbo.

Dale, getting my car tuned on thursday, Ill show you what my curve is like with the GT2871R with the 25.

What trim and rear housing are you running?

I'd imagine with the 25 you'd be using the 56T?

haha as i edited it above its the 56T

i got specs somewhere on the rear, its simular to a stage 3 Highflowed rb25det turbo rear housing.

I'm sure it'll run out of legs sometime soon, doesn't seem to be at the moment.

i cant help but think that was a stab at me?

Lol Craig im talking stock interior vs stock interior

Ryan, i definately need some brighter lights and gripper tyres i think. The Wanli's show their limits in the hills.

I just bought some 6000k globes off 666DAN so im there with lighting, just need a bit more power and a bit more grip i think.

Well I just got a quote from All Type Crash, they said 300 to paint my (brand new fibreglass) front bar and $50 an hour to fit. Im hoping its going to fit pretty well and won't take longer than 2 hours. How does that quote compare with your experiences guys?

    • Also - running 5W-40, was recommended by seller.
    • Sorry - RB25DE Neo, as y'all likely already know.
    • Hey y'all! In the latest of my un-luck saga, I had been hearing some metal-sliding/rattling noises at lower RPM under engine load/acceleration. Originally thought it might be transmission related since that was where I'd usually shift (I live in a slow neighborhood so lots of lower-rev driving). But, upon having a mechanic hear it, it turns out that I have a detonation issue. Before I got a timing belt service, this was happening in 1500 up to 3K RPM, but post timing belt replacement it's been down to about 1700-2100. I've been doing my damnedest to keep her above 2100 for most driving - little bit more jerky but I'd rather not lose an engine over this. So far:  - replaced timing belt, timing retarded slightly as per mechanic who did the work... problem got smaller but not solved (as an aside, getting lots of belt whine and even squeal when I start her up in the mornings) - Been only using top-tier fuel available locally (91 is premium for my state in USA, since it's high altitude we get f*ed on gas quality. Been using Shell... but does have the "contains up to 10% ethanol" sticker, unsure if that's gonna be an issue and if I should seek out no-ethanol gas) - Plugs are BRAND NEW via the seller... maybe they did a bad install? RB25DE, 5MT. Glad to be able to actively control engine speed for an issue like this. Other than a bad MAF, what else could it be? Could the spark job have been a bust? Compression test came back 180 on all cylinders except one at 160... something questionable there?
