Thanks Stevo.....I'll give it a go.......looks good bud. :P

Hey no probz Dave......I reckon Patrick is organizing a DVD for me so don't go out of your way bud, but I'd be curious to see what's available in Adelaide next time you're there. :)

KISIN - Yes i actually have GTR fronts in mine but there is no differance in the front from GTSt to GTR

Yeah it would still be there Jess but sau has a bad habit of making links go bad if you just copy and paste without coding them :(

Oh :D again..This is the first time it has done it to me..

All good cause Sled found them on ebay anyway!

I'm excited about Go Karts and catching up with you SA folk :woot:

There might be no house purchase for me this month :)

House at auction went for way more than I was willing to go (which was well above market value)! :D

House I put an offer in I had a second inspection last night on and there's a few things wrong with it. Getting a building inspector to go thru it early tomorrow morning (before I got interstate), and I've instructed him to look for water damage in the ceiling and down the wall cavity. I strongly believe there will be hidden damage, and the owners thought paint would cover up anything. Considering the vendors are asking $5K above median price in the area (on par with Cheltenham houses) and especially $50K above suburb prices (houses in Rosewater range $310K to $330K average) ... I do not believe it will be worth $375K even with the extension (which I suspect does not have Council approval).

Shopping for a house is so much hard work ... jesus, there are some real disappointing homes out there ;)

There is one final house I'm looking at in the area well within the market range and looks to be in better condition. I might arrange an inpsection next week when I return. If nothing comes from this one, I'm giving up looking until the end of the year. Everyone knows the housing market is on its way down, and most vendors are trying to get as much as they can now despite there being some problems with the house!

I'll have pleasure telling the vendor I'm retracting my offer due to hidden faults with the house they were aware of, if it comes to that. :P

WOOT.. 302rwkw 17psi

Best part though...

3500rpm = 200rwkw

4000rpm = 265rwkw

Comes on super smooth no snapping and actually really easy to get the power down.

The 2" FMIC piping and 450x300 small FMIC was causing a few issues and wouldn't allow us to push more than 17psi in to it up top. :D

Not to replace the fmic and its 2" skinny arsed piping :P

Very Nice!!! :P

NICE joel!! im sure ur a happy man..

whats next hahaha?????

Thats a silly question... :)

E85 haha

+ FMIC with 2.5" piping.

The cams have really woke the car up.. Right off idle it feels much more responsive, spools the turbo earlier etc. I must admit I was a tad scared the 265/263 9mm regrinds would kill low end but its been the complete opposite.

Best thing.... I've just pulled 400km's out of a tank and almost a 1/4 of that tank was on the dyno!! :D

hey Joel.....did you have to retard the exh gear to compensate and bring the power curve back to the left?

I'm abit confused, cause even though 9mm is not huge lift, when I went to school, bigger overlaps always caused a shift in rpm in a northerly direction.......maybe it's more to do with your tune than the cams cause I always thought that better response is not generally a side effect of bigger overlaps :)

Regardless of the size of the cams the way they are setup they run less overlap than the R32 RB25DE cams (8degrees) I previously had in there.

From memory they were 240duration inlet 7.8mm lift and 232duration 7.3mm lift. Inlet had an LCA of 112 degree's and exhaust 117 or 118degree's. Being a total of approx 8degree's overlap.

The new cams... Inlet LCA 110 exhaust 115. Overlap is 4-5degree's so even though they are bigger cams they are setup with bugger all overlap.

The Inlet LCA and exhaust are exactly the same as how JUN or HKS I believe setup their RB20DET cams.

Less overlap helps turbo spool improves bottom end which is most likely why I have not lost any fuel economy or low/mid power yet still picked up decent top end due to the 265duration and 9mm lift. I presume. :S

Still got some tweaking to do it was only on the dyno for approx 1hr. It wasn't worth spending any more time on it as the FMIC is crap and causing problems. Most likely the IW 1bar actuator is not able to hold much more. Much the same as the problems Dangerman4 experienced with his IW garrett housing. Needs a nice stiff actuator.

    • Wait a sec…. You pay for bolts at bunnings? I usually just pocket the 1 or 2 bolts I’m short. everything else is courtesy of work
    • Yes, the problem is the supply chain hasn't standardized on metric which makes it more expensive to source metric hardware. They're all mail order at this point. Fastenal is cheap but you can't exactly rock up to a fulfillment warehouse as a random D2C. Paying 13 USD in shipping for 3 nuts doesn't really make sense. McMaster-Carr and similar companies are all in a similar sort of boat. If you like gambling on mystery hardware Amazon is cheap too but you're going to be buying 25 of whatever screw you need. So Lowes/Home Depot ends up being the way to go if you really only need small quantities of hardware for odd jobs like trying to rebuild a power steering pump that calls for an m6x1.0 screw to pop out the flow control valve.
    • What size bolts did you use to reattach the cam cover baffles? Thinking it will need to be M3-M4
    • Yeah one of the first things I out in when I started having catch can filling up issues. Still prefer to empty 1-2 times a track day rather than every session
    • You'll find this link is probably more useful  Performance Turbochargers - Garrett - G GT GTX GTW Series Turbo TBG G35 1150 map may not even get added to my list depending on how it looks, the G35 1050 already is a mixed bag for making the numbers you would expect from the compressor map due to mismatch - I don't know how another 10lb/min of compressor flow is going to make that any better.   I've left out others for similar reasons as it's already getting quite big.   In terms of Precision, provide me with legit compressor maps for them and I'll do my thing   I'll add some more of the newer Xona Rotor options are they're pretty boss, I'd take a 68mm Xona over a G35 "1150" any day of the week - or Precision for that matter.
