Vu,

Did you pull the squeel shims off the old brake pads and clipped them on to the new? 'Sometimes' its easy not to see the squeel shims on the old pads if they are dirty and full of brake dust.

Had a mechanic fit the brake pads and rotors up and yeah he did the shims - everything looked to be done well and bedding in was done according to the instructions from the brake pads. I'm gonna take the pads out sometime in the next couple days get some anti-squealing shiz into it see how it goes then... damn thing is driving me nuts!

yeah my EBC Redstuff (ceramic) is doing the same thing now....loud as with a medium pedal but goes away with hard braking and I used the stick on anti squeal pads to

ive got the same pads pete but i have not had a problem with them squealing did you bed them in properly.?

yeah they have that thin compound on them that requires light to medium use initially before giving them the usual bed in process (from 100kph down to 15kph several times till hot then cool down and repeat if necessary)

I haven't done that final process yet cause they were only put in 150 km ago but I think they may be ready for the final process now.........hope that fixes it.

On another note, do they bite those rotors or what.....very unforgiving even on initial grab and wants to throw you thru the windscreen everytime, lol

I dont know if thats meant to be done with my brake pads but hell I'm going to give that a try see if that works!

I put a chamfered angle on the leading edge of new brake pads to stop them sqeeling.... nothing over the top use a file and take the sharp edge away. it has alwayz worked for me :)

i did the same with my pads mick, made the squeeling stop enough for me to hear my dodgy wheel bearing on the front passenger side :)

i remember reading on here a while back that one of the SAU members works for CBC, any one remember who?

that could be a blessing in disguise.... not fun when they collapse totally :)
