Does anyone out there know how to install a HID Kit into my s13 its a xenon brand (i think thats how its spelt)

and also, I'm wanting to get my rear traction arms installed too

thanks!

Anyone???? :D

Anyone???? :D

there is a howto guide on the forums here somewhere. basically you connect the hid transformer to the pwer source on the light circuit, mount the transformer somewhere safe and then run wires back to your existing headlight pods. takes a few hours, longer if you dont know how to remove and remount lights

or you could take it to an auto electrician and get them to do it

i took mine to auto perfection was done in 1 hr :D

its stored down south where i live so auto perfection is too far

and its pretty much a rego'd track car so i dont want to drive it much on the roads if i can help it  cops wouldnt be to friendly towards it haha

im not to keen on touching the electrics but i might have to drive it down somewhere.

anyone recomend a auto electriction down south? somewhere near mclaren vale/seaford/noarlunga/christies area?

thanks

i got a gtr power fc on my r33 and was wondering does anyone have a gtst one they would want to swap, the likely hood of there being sumone is pretty low but just thought id ask lol

whats it run like with the gtr fc fitted?

madaz told me it wasnt idleing properly did you try diffrent lag timeing?

Kye, MattyT knows one from down south who's also a mobile service......PM him

And from all accounts he charges through the ass for f**k all work. :)

Apparently his dad @ The workshop is the man to see. Cant remember what the name of the company was though.... Ill send him an SMS and find out.

Anyone???? :P

As for the traction arms.... jack car up on stands, unbolt, remove arm, adjust new arm to same length of factory arm, replace in reverse order, get wheel alignment.

That's not hard at all, Today Ive installed my HICAS lock bar, Rear camber arms, alloy cradle locking collars, solid diff mounts, Kazama tension rods, steering rack spacers and a solid steering bush. Most of the shit goes back in the same way the factory shit came out.

Curious as to why you bought traction arms though?

hey guys does anyone know how to adjust the steering wheel on an R32???

i got my boost gauge put in the other day and they had to take the panel where the headlights switch is off coz of where i wanted the gauge and they must of adjusted the steering wheel coz it sits too low now and i cant see the top of my speedo and rev meter as its now too low.

i know you can make the steering wheel go in and out but that doesnt help i need it to go up more..

can anyone help me???

There is one in willunga, directly opposite to the CFS. Sapphiregraphics seems pretty knowledgeable, he may be able to give you a hand, im thinking of getting a Xenon light kit for my R33 soon, so i would mind having a look either or lending a hand on my day off.

Wouldnt he need traction arms to adjust the bump steer on the rear?

Rear bumpsteer would be controlled by adjusting the roll centre more than anything.

Traction rods allow adjustment to how much toe is given to the rear wheel under suspension compression.... ie transition after a clutch kick etc. Only other reason is they replace the rubber bushes with rose jointed/spherical joints.

Just curious as traction rods would usually be the last thing to do in a long list of things... Rear camber arms, HICAS removal or rear toe arms if non HICAS, diff mounts/cradle bushes or locking collars/sway bars etc.

hey guys i just thought i might share my experience, on my way driving to shops i spoted my first R35 GTR on hanson road it absolutely looks awsome in real life, and sounds f****n unreal nothing like the old RB engines totaly different sound i took this photo out of my old mans car, if i had my car i wouldve tried and give it a go and c how much i loose by lol heres the photo, I WANT ONEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for that. I just got Ikeya formula ones myself, awesomely made and very tough, but thinking of changing to cusco as they have the dust covers. Will go Ikeya Lower control arms later, but don't really know anyone in adelaide who has the knowledge to adjust the roll centre correctly.
