Yeah I'll make sure I have some girl with me in line lol... Friday night I've got a 21st and Saturday night I have more birthday celebrations.

Did you hear the latest about Reds? They refused entry to some dude because his "hair was too short"

F**k.

Ah, I've been asked to present a 1 hour Office 2007 training session to a bunch of people who have no idea how to use 2007.

I'm crap at public speaking!

I'm an I.T. guy! Not a trainer!

I feel for ya cronic, I had to do the same, but for the board of directors on how their new keyfob passcode system would work for remote users. Never given a public speech in my life. And I only worked in tech support of all places. Was shaking at start.

Were still looking for something to do friday night over there.. we fly out of adelaide tomorrow arvo... staying accross the road from the Dome... should be busy there.

So... After my last track day i noticed oil leaking from my BOV :/ and with the dyno day coming up i thought i better take the cooler out and give it a bit of a clean up. This is a pic of what was inside :) Gonna give it a clean tomorrow ready for Saturday :) and im gonna start looking for a catch can setup to try and prevent this from happening again.

what i found worse was me sitting thru basic office about 5times. was being forced between job agencies/tafe/work.

i can make excel call you a f**k head and draw a finger sticking up at ya from the press of a button i dont need to learn how to open a file and save it.

lol Chad, oil is meant to go into your sump not your IC :)

Seriously though, with all that oil in there, were you monitoring your knock count on the PFC while going around Malalla?

    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
