If it's all in a public register than you should go look it up you'll find it under 'bent over for running an amber light'. I stated already that it wasn't worth the money for a lawyer to risk losing when it's my word against a cop and I've got 9 points in the bank.

You want me to name to cop that wrote the affidavit? and my name?

Why would I do that?

It's quite clear to me that you obviously hang on every word that any cop has ever typed in an affidavit and believe it's impossible for a cop to get it wrong in an affidavit.

I commend you SLED for being a believer, good on you.

Now I'll cease posting anything else that remotely comes close to the law or law enforcement.

Far out Talbo, if I was you I'd go easy .... that was a big knee-jerk reaction to a fairly harmless (and in fact in some ways reinforcing) post by Sled .... you had better hope he is in a good mood when he reads that, as if he is not I suspect you might get a little holiday from the forums
The guy is pretty much calling me a liar and you think I'm the one who's over reacted. What part of it is going to get me a holiday?

ROFL.....how the hell did you come to the conclusion that I was referring to you as a liar, I've read my post again and I'm buggered if I can tell......maybe engage your brain first bud and have another read.

I'm definitely not interested in wasting my time by bringing up the local register to see what went down and what I generally find when conducting a factual interview (ie. interrogation) is that when peeps get defensive as quickly as you do, there's usually more digging required.

Based on your responses to my genuinely inquiring style of posts, I've concluded that I was completely wrong about one bit of advice (referring to self representation), and you were 100% correct........yes, you would've needed a lawyer.

, obviously not your affidavit so why didn't you argue it if you didn't agree with it.....unless it was accurate and you were telling little porkies, yeah

So you're saying there is no question that the officer who wrote the affidavit has got it 100% accurate or it wasn't my affidavit and that if in fact it was my affidavit then I'm a liar?

If I misunderstood that statement you made yesterday (italics) then I sincerely apologize as that is what got me on the defensive so early on.

Again your 'genuine inquiring style of posts' didn't come across as genuine to me because of the italic section, again I apologize.

Yes you're 100% right, I should've got a lawyer being my first time in court because I was being naive to contest the fine without having read the affidavit first.... accurate or not. Now I know for next time, although I'd rather not go there again if you know what I mean!

oh pete, heres that stuff i was meant to post the other day for ya

And I quote:

"On Land Cruiser 200 model vehicles where fitted with Toyota genuine bull bars, especially if they operate for long periods in harsh usage conditions such as corrugated roads, the bull bar mounting bracket design allows excessive load to be applied to the front frame portion that supports the bull bar. This can result in cracking of the frame welds.

If the vehicle with the frame cracked is continued to be driven in these conditions, in the worse case, the crack increases, which potentially may result in the bull bar detaching from the vehicle.

Note: This condition is purely results from inadequate bull bar mounting bracket design. Therefore only vehicles fitted with genuine bull bars are involved (Non-genuine bull bars have independently engineered mounting brackets). "

Owners will be notified by mailout soon

thanks Matty, I actually went to Jarvis Toyota today and found out that I need to attend to approx 4 recalls since the truck 1st came out in 2007.

Bullbar brackets and new tailshaft are 2 of the major ones that need attention.

    • My hold point for future mods is that I want a OEM detachable hard top first, but, finding one is a pain, MX5 Mania are looking for one for me, but, as hens teeth are more common, finding one in Australia is proving problematic  I can get a OEM one from overseas, hell, you can still get new ones in 'Merica, but, shipping is a absolute killer and I cannot justify the cost, or the risk of it being damaged during transport As for the aftermarket hardtops, whilst they do the job of being a hard top, and are fine for a track car, they don't seal well (read: leak like a sieve in the rain), and you need a plastic/poly rear window, plus they are a bolt in option only and not made to be easily removed I liked how the hard top on my NB could be fitted, and removed, by myself, in less than 5 minutes I know it sounds bad, but I'm waiting for someone to write off a car with one so I can swoop in on their pain, it will go to a good home though, so my guilt of this is tempered
    • I’ve got one on mine and it’s fine,
    • No, you don't want to plug the vacuum line, as that will turn that side of the booster into an air spring and probably make it feel worse. I'm not saying that the GTR master itself doesn't need a booster. I haven't paid attention to the GTR one to know what size it is cf the non-GTR ones. But when you think about it - they have to do the same job, which is to move a little slave piston a few mm to do what it is supposed to do, and that final action is the same on all the cars. So, it is very unlikely that the GTR MC is any different than the others, because it has the same pedal stroke and the same output requirement. The booster just makes it feel easier. I'd suggest you probably have an actual hydraulic problem. It's totally common on these old shitboxes.
