its on the CA damo! anyone got a stock CA18det sump laying around (dale) hehe..

Get on the phone to jap wreckers!

I had a big dent in my sump on the 32 when I had it, I just put in a bit extra oil till it was just above full on the dip stick - the dent made it look fuller then it was.

lol dude read that and have a think about it...

what did i miss since page 1337? lol

oh, for anyones entertainment tomorrow. want to see what 60 odd army trucks vs anzac highway looks like, come down to keswick barracks about 2 tomorrow arvo. we're MEANT to be turning right when we leave there.............and SAPOL are going to be stopping traffic

should say there'll be many lols

yep tried.. and nothing..

nothing small enough to fit ne ways!

ruby i think 450 is a tad too wide.. ill measure it up again and get back to u!

how much would u want for it?

As for the sump, post a topic in the WTB section on NS.com. I wouldn't pay more than $50 if that, Infact in the post put that you are looking for a CA sump and you are willing to pay $50 that way you will only have to deal with people that are realistic.

As for the intercooler, that is the size that i'm running except mine is 76mm thick;

AJD? Didn't know that was your car. I would've said hi otherwise.

I think I misquoted. Mine might also be 76mm thick. Originally got that size to fill the Dayz bar. But now I have the typeM bar, I needed a bigger cooler to fill it ... so I got a Cooling Pro item :)

Adrian, check your measurements and allow a further 150mm for the end tanks etc on top of the 450mm. If it suits you, I'd be after $120 for the cooler ... its lightly sprayed in satin black btw.

nvm just worked out that there's a 17mm size nut holding it in on the other side...

good f**king luck getting to it for me though, don't have a long enough spanner nor size 3 Japanese hands to get in there.

hey all need some help! i am about to re insure my car but was reading the fine print saying that all mods must be roadworthy, legal and written on the document, so my power fc which is covered on the document isnt considered legal (is it?) nor is the turbo timer ect ect, so does this mean that i wont b covered?

anyone know what prices i should be paying for new leads and a belt kit for my corolla at all?

changed the spark plugs today and the leads are looking a bit worst for wear and so is one of the belts.

but steve that was thru Just car insurance and i know a sh*t load of people with jap cars thru them with mods like 80 % of people on here, like power fc's ect they say on the forms (new computer/ ecu) which is what they r but then in sa there considered illegal so does that mean that them putting it on there site is just to make people think they will b covered or what?

yeah Chris cant answer that one i would depend on the assessor on the day and all sorts of contributing factors

i was making a point that if they deem that mod to of caused the accident its highly likely they will void your insurance

insurance is like a lottery your dammed if you do and dammed if your dont

just cars seem to pay even if its got illegal mods, i know someone that came off the road on a corner with coil overs, ecu, external fuel pump shit, illegal turbo setup do i need to list the rest of the shit. it still got covered they gave him the agreed 10k i think it was and then sold his wreck.

would depend on how much they in for and circumstances of the crash. if you are completely at fault hit 3 ferrari's and did 100k of damage to gov property i dare say they will try to play the illegal mods card to get out of having to cover you. if you talking just a 8k write off + they can get some back for your wrecked car when they sell it. then its prob in their interest to pay for publicitys sake.

Mate of mine wrote off his R33 in a sidestreet went straight into a curb thing that sticks out (it jumped out at him out of nowhere)... he was with Just Car, no mods listed, write off, he was at fault... he received his payout from them - near $20k.

    • No, with a twin plate clutch flywheels and clutch pressure plate/friction disks go together. Only clutch where that isn't the case is the Uniclutch but they currently don't make a pull version for the Getrag R34, just some other cars. Personally the flywheel is as light as I'd want it to be. It already drops revs faster than I want to shift normally and I blip the throttle again to rev match on upshifts.
    • Are there any other lighter flywheels that can be used with nismo coppermix twinplate system? Id like to gave the revs pick up faster than oem
    • RB20/25 covers don’t have threaded fasteners stock like RB26 covers. They are blind rivets so I will need to drill out and tap threads. I bought some M4x6mm button heads and will report back once done if I chose correctly length wise.    have also got some loctite
    • Interesting. I've not dived into the cleanliness of the factory CAS. I'm curious if the variations are less of an issue if the OEM sensor were brand new. Optical sensors if they're starting to get dirt and crap into them as they're getting older would definitely cause issues as they age.   It's an interesting point to keep in the back of mind for me though
    • Hmm. Tough one. Without knowing where the conductivity value is supposed to sit, it's hard to know whether a standard DMM set to an available ohms setting would be able to measure anything. Ohms being the inverse of what we're talkng about and probably good enough for the girls I go out with. But if you want to go all hoity toity with a 4 wire rig - go ahead. It can only be more accurate - just in case more accuracy or repeatability turns out to be required. If you're going to the effort, just go chuck the ohm-mage probes into the car's reservoir and see if you can measure anything at all?
