That looks very nice, definitely better. Is that the metalcast blue? How many coats on there in those pics?

I phoned 3 x autobahns and 3 x supercheaps yesterday trying to get this metalcast, no luck yet. Autobahn at Gilles Plains had the ground coat and other colours but no blue!!

anyone estimate what the cost for - engine out, 30 end fitted to neo head (requires a bit of work), engine in?

Bah, looks like its gonna take more custom work, the engine will sit higher and bonnet wont close properly. Maybe later.

Damo $3,200 roughly will get you a rips 600hp short motor and roughly $400 to ship here by boat then maybe 2-2.5k to fit your head and every thing up give or take its not a cheap exercise

you generally only get fouling issues on gts4's but cubes says you can mount the engine a little lower in the engine bay too :D

you dont need a built bottom end tho?

Looking through some Autosalon Final Battle pics, wow.

yep :D or the budget of Mark, owner of 2 32 gtr's, 1 33 gtr, 1 34gtr and 1 r35gtr. This is his recent project, carbon fibre panel widebody r34, custom full cage, rb26 with 6 speed hollinger box, etc etc, $ $.

    • Yeah that is true. I haven't seen any Australian auction prices for 34s. Did see a r33 gtst series 2 go for 21k at Lloyd's the other week. Definitely seems like people selling their Skylines that have sat in the front yard for the last 10 years are a little delusional.
    • The exact direct fit seat belts are R33-specific. Should be able to get it from any Nissan dealer.
    • No-one in Aus/NZ would pay that much, because they remember when a turbo Skyline/Silvia was a cheap but awesome alternative to the mediocre shit sold here locally at the time. I'm sure over in USA there are enough trust fund kids who will have their R34 GTR, whatever the cost
    • I am stuck with enthusiast and very unhappy, even though Lumley, Shannons and Famous are all options, they all require a lock up garage, and my situation (basically a walled off compound from the street) is insufficient because the car is under a carport. I'm confident to resolve the situation I need to build a roller door with fascia in-front of my roller gate which is a solid opaque metal rolling gate. In any other universe moving the roller door 2 meters in-front of the garage door would still constitute the same amount of security but oh no. My insurance rates suck to the point of when I joined a market research for Enthusiast they were all surprised that I paid about 2-3x what other people were paying with Enthusiast when I asked them why their rates were so high. If I lie about having a garage, I save like $10 a month with enthusiast. (It's about $2600 p.a for 5000km of driving for a very unsustainable agreed value). Lumley has terrible reviews but @Duncan made me consider calling them when renew time came up - but their horrible reviews plus Christmas time made me... forget.
