Oh god....how horrible do those feel

had to put it in for regency and oh god was happy to change it next day

Doesn't feel horrible at all. I haven't driven a skyline with aftermarket suspension parts so to me it's actually nice after coming from a car that had suspension hard enough to crack the chassis which is one of the reasons I fairly reluctant to lower this car..... just don't want to go back to a harsh dumpy ride.

I think that my stock sus was shagged but i was so much happier when i had the normal sus in and the stock sus out.....felt so much nicer

with the stock sus i was hopping sideways once i would hit a bump/hole

I've asked this elsewhere ...but I'll ask here too ...

My tiptronic box has failed (solenoids) and I'm carrying out my manual conversion earlier than planned, so haven't quite done my homework.

Does a GTR manual box or GTS4 box bolt straight into the Stagea? No mods to tailshaft or mounts?

I'm aware of the other things required, like: drill out plate for shift stick, change over pedal box, need clutch kit, change over center console, change over handbrake etc. But are the boxes the same length and all?

Anyone? ... >_<

hey Pete, got your message but didn't have time to call you back. Sucks you couldn't come to Kadina - bloody weak excuse though! >_< You missed out on a huge one bud - was an absolutely blast, despite the weather.

Yeah I got 4wd spec standard suspension on my R33 >_<

I have stock suspension in the 32 aswell, but its new stock suspension (previous owner did it). It feels fairly stable on the road, but I have been told by people behind me it suffers from a bit of body roll. And no doubt it would feel alot better with something decent in there. So, are coilovers actually defectable? - bit confused on that one.

Good luck with the manual conversion Ruby!

hows this.

i paid for a fuel pressure regulator on ebay, the seller lives in henley beach so i initially requested to pick up the item. i got no response, so i thought fk it, ill pay the $15!!!!!! postage just so i can have it in my hand.

i waited 2 weeks and the item did not appear, i messaged the seller about it. all i got was gaurded responses like, i definitely posted it and the seller was a little rude in each and ever message. For the following week i intermittantly dropped into both of my local post offices, but they had no records of recieving the package.

i messaged the seller again asking for the details from the aus post reciept, so i could lodge a service complaint with aus post, but got no response for a week and a half, so i thouhg fk it, my $$$ is gone so i left negative feedback, along the lines of OK communication, however item not recived.

the seller had the nerve to ask me to revise my feedback (within 10 min of me posting it! ).

i have just written this to the seller... you guys reckon its ok to send?

** DEAR SELLER**,

im curious about the comment you left on my feedback "the item was definitely posted +post office has confirmed postage". you never confrimed that for me, or gave me the postage details from your reciept for me to follow it up. It amused me that i was waiting for days for a response to a message requesting postal details, but your reply to my feedback was almost instantaneous. I feel the negative feedback is valid due to your reluctance to directly assist me with the information that you have. on a side note, using the postage calculator on the aus post website http://www1.auspost.com.au/pac/aus_parcel.asp when im am generous with dimensions and weight (20cm square, and up to 1kg) standard postage from 5022 to 5048 is $7.20 not the $15 charged, this could have all been avoided if you would have allowed me to pick the item up as per my first message to you after winning the auction. Please let me know why you wish me to revise the feedback.

hate it when ebay morons screw you over.....i was searching ebay for a rechipped ecu to suit my auto turbs r31 for ages with no luck...went back on the forums and a guy in henley beach had one...i asked how much...he said he just upgraded to a haltech so he had no use for it so ...$30??...i said ill be there in an hour...lol...i reckon yur letter is quite valid but....go kick his ass

They legit if you get them welded at a legal height so they cant move up and down, and i think they may need to get engineered with that.

Seems fair to me, i would have done something similar too.

you dont need to get them welded at legal height.

get them engineered with your car and then they are legal and dont need to be welded, adjust the height accordingly .

if you get done for too low , raise the coilovers to legal height , go to regency , present engineers report and your fine.

my mate has his r33 engineered with coilovers.

only time they need to be welded is if you go through regency and get caught with coilovers in :P

    • Sounds like the solenoid might be cactus, if the solenoid trigger wire was still attached (and it was just the main power to the starter itself remove). Just to provoke Neil haunting me for the rest of my life... Have you tried tapping it with a hammer while someone switches the key to start? This might work for the fuel pump too... šŸ˜›
    • I need help dealing with an engineer who is massively overcharging me for an engineering report on my modified, written-off Jeep to get it roadworthy. šŸ”¹ Initially, he quoted me $3,500 - $4,500. šŸ”¹ First invoice: $5,315 (already above the quote). šŸ”¹ Second invoice: $1,375. šŸ”¹ Now, he has sent another invoice for $3,100! This is way more than double what I was originally quoted. I feel like Iā€™m being ripped off. Has anyone dealt with something like this before? What can I do? Any advice on how to report him or fight these unfair charges? Would really appreciate any guidance! šŸ™ Am in Adelaide.

    • Only in a market where OBD was a thing. The rest of the world was quite happy to let the US EPA only affect US cars for quite a while. The* problem with datalogs is that unless you are very familiar with what every trace should look like, on their own and as an ensemble, you can and will see weird shit that can and will lead you astray, not realising that what you are seeing is the normal consequence of various transient inputs. *Really, "a" problem, as there are of course many other problems too. Look, these cars are so bloody simple that if it is missing or stumbling, the obvious thing is to break out the old mental diagnostic list and just go do all the things that you know you should. After proving that the plugs are clean and sound, ditto the coil stalks, coils, loom connectors, etc, and then making sure that there is fuel pressure at about the right numbers (while driving!, not while sitting in the garage free blipping it), then maybe you go looking at AFM voltages, manually testing the igniter, putting a scope on the CAS, etc. Then you're into pulling the injectors for a spray pattern look-see and perhaps a clean, squirting carby cleaner around the inlet manifold looking for leaks, and all the more annoying and esoteric, but still common as muck faults that these things have. I wouldn't ever bother looking at the trims, as they are usually bullshit on these old clunkers anyway.
