they should sit pretty good dion, might need to run something like a 5mm slip on spacer up front, but you can get those from most tyre joints for nix.

as for the offset thing, its pretty simple. it refers to where the mounting surface of the wheel sits in relation to the edges of the wheel.

smack bang in the centre is +/- 0 offset (neutral).

when you move it from the centre towards the outside edge of the wheel its + offset.

when you move it from the centre towards the inside of the wheel its -offset.

Unfortunately they arent in Adelaide, or else I would trial fit. If they did not require spacers on the Z32, does that mean it wont need them on an R32?

:edit: jis have a set of gramlights in the same size and offset, head down there, ask to test fit, and voila!

:edit... again: just so you know, youre gonna be way out of track anyways. adr's allow only 12.5mm of track increase per side. but f**k it, fit the wheels you want to get the car looking the way you want. we dont all have to drive yugo's.

17*9 +20 with a 235/40, yours will sit another 28mm further in.

sucks that you r chassis owners can run such high offset and get flushness, im running 0's and im barely proud with camber.

Agreed Damo, would love to see what will happen in this situation, and if it does happen i hope the person it happens to has lots of cash behind them to push it high into the courts and the public view.

It would be interesting to see the outcome, but i get the feeling what you would see happen is that the owner would be offered a payout figure of the market value of the vehicle and the courts will see that as fair. But of course they wont take into account any modifications done to the vehicle, as they cant be seen allowing a car to have aftermarket modifications.

I guess we'll see what happens if and when they do actually crush a car, but I'm guessing that without a court order (repeat offenders) they won't be crushing cars for defects and general traffic infringements. I'm not convinced that it's going to be a police/government free for all.... and I know first hand that some officers aren't the most trustworthy people I've ever met.

Wheel width=8" fronts 9" rear

Wheel offset 35 fronts 38 rears

tyres 235-45-17 front

tyres 255-40-17 rear

Didnt need to do any mods car was lowered 25mm

and the amount of people i talked to that were equally passionate about the bikie laws. honestly, some of these people are supporting what is in effect a communist government without even realising what theyre saying.

I think there is a difference between people who like to jump on a bandwagon and talk shit without thinking because it was published in a newspaper recently or was on TV.
