I used to work for a breeder of American Staffy's and Staffordshire Bull Terriors, awesome dogs.

We have an English Staffy, it CANNOT swim. Everytime he falls in our pool he has to be pulled out - thought I was going to have to jump in to get it about a month ago, what swimming it could do it went right into the middle of the deep end!

Was initially looking at English Staffs.........awesome dogs!

Was told that it's good to socialize that particular breed pretty early as they can have issues with other dogs as an adult otherwise....your thoughts?

If and when we get a pup, would love to socialize it with other Staffies whilst still a pup......who else on here has one?

Well interestingly enough, our Staffy was a breeding dog kept at the kennel for the first 12 months of his life, obviously only around other Staffy's. I can visualise that being true though Pete.

Our other dog is a Dalmation, she bosses the Staffy around a bit but they get on great - will eat and sleep next to each other etc no problems. There is another Dalmation and a Labrador next door, again, no problems. We live on a big block out of the metro area so we have chickens, horses, 7 cats lol and yeah fantastic. He is a lovely dog, but I must admit I have a soft spot for the Amstaffs.

You sound like Nene :P

Tracy and I were at the RSPCA last weekend. She wanted another dog ... I unfortunately declined. Not until our house extension is done. We have one stupid dog and one stupid cat already :P

Our english staffy, Raynie, can swim! Use to throw her fav shoe into the pool. She'd dive in and swim to the bottom to retrieve it and then jump out. Swims better than Klim :P

Ben, Nene and me & Tracy both have adult staffys and we've introduced them to each other recently, no problems. Ben and Nene's dogs, Mack and Mia, get along just fine with Raynie. Mack and Raynie more so, because we're trying to breed them :P

in case anyone is interested, on 5spd gear boxes you get a funky tranny oil smell sometimes but cant find the leak

(like mine even after 3 shops looked at it and said they couldnt find anything wrong and it might be a vent line fumes coming into the air vents in the car)

I pulled out the seals under the shifter and behold a torn seal boot on top of the shifter tower. so if you smell tranny oil but cant find a leak its under the 4 screws and 3 gaskets/boots later held on with two zip ties. the part number from nissan is

Rubber boot C/L

32862-V50001

Remove the shifter surround

then the 4 screws/10mm bolts holding the metal ring on, lift up the layers of rubber boots to see the one zipped tied up , you will see its torn loose on the top if its bad

to reinstall lightly grease it inside and slide it over the shifter, replace two zip ties , or remove the c clip holding the shifter in , (put car in neutral first ) then reinstall the other items.

pretty sure a few of you talked about your car doing that...... so now you know how to fix it. takes about 20 min or less to fix

If anyone has a diagram or part of a workshop manual that shows the inside of the R33 door, specifically the power window mechanism/regulator assembly please PM me and I'd be willing to pay for a photocopy or PDF so long as it's legible.

so according to the paper today, gorge road has been flagged for placement of a fixed speed camera.

I love the fixed camera mounted on Glover Avenue, Mile End before the underpass ... yes, the downhill part. :bunny: How about sticking at the uphill section? Bust someone speeding there, then you'll really have yourself a speeder ... not someone being inattentive.

Mr O'Brien said the cameras would be located "anywhere we have an issue with fatalities and serious casualties" across the State.

Just like when they starting sticking speed cameras to intersections where the speed limit varies from one side to the other (ie Marion Road/Sturt Road, West Terrace Shell etc). You can't tell me they don't strategically place them where they'd make the most revenue?

They're targeting inattentive drivers, not intentional speeders! In my cars/bikes on Glover Avenue, without my right foot off the accelerator, I'm still doing over 60kph by the time I go thru the underpass ... but not intentionally. There are no pedestrian crossings here, no side streets, nothing to hit ... so why is it such a "safety" concern to target this stretch of road, and not (say) between ETSA and West Terrace where some racing occurs???

They're talking about using these cameras to "deal with the road toll". But how is targeting the Glover Avenue underpass dealing with the road toll? Revenue raising much?

I'm all for speed cameras for "safety" ... but this ain't it.

And how about the Sunday Mail explain their "observation" having "clocked 127 drivers breaking the speed limit". Did they include every single driver doing even 61kph and above??? Why don't you comment on the location of the camera, and the fact this is not a problem area! Did the Sunday Mail reporters dob in the 'hoon' they clocked doing 76kph in the 60 zone? I doubt it. Don't let facts get in the way of a good report Sunday Mail :)

Thanks :bunny: Unfortunately no diagrams, but found half of what I was looking for.

Now does anyone know if the R33 window motor is like the R34 window motor in that it has the limit switch and encoder built into the motor?

Thanks in advance

On the downhill slope? wait..ill go and see that pic..

LOL. Theres a politician, Dr Bob Such, whose fighting his speeding fine, claiming that becuase it was on the downslope on oakridge road, the reading is out.

I guess hoons are just flavour of the week at the moment.

Just came back from staying in the hills, noticed alot of speed cameras on the side of the road, no signs, but plenty of people flashing high beams to alert everyone. Also spotted a cop hiding strategically just before Chain of Ponds.
