i disagree if you setup up your ride height to a similar to factory height you wouldn't need and alignment if you say take an inch or 2 out you probably might

Right.... This is probably why i find that some jap cars have seized toe bolts, and are out by 21mm. (Treating them like commodores in my opinion)

Not to mention the fact its a 40 dollar, every 10,000km kinda thing. i spend more money on a cruize.

no skin of my back if he doesn't get a wheel alignment,

just i know that his toe would be out. and its good to check all the figures are even after installing coil-overs.

either way you don't NEED a wheel alignment, but your car does handle better, steer better, and wear tires better if you do.

Hence the fact i wheel align my car ever 5000km with oil change. (i would still do it even if i didn't work at bob Jane)

all this talk of wheel alignments... i should probably get one done soon.

oh yeah, crickets boring as batshit. football interests me about as much as cancer does. and id rather stab myself with a diseased needle then sit through a game of tennis.

bring on the womens beach volleyball though...

Looking at all the cruise pictures, it's pretty low that cops had made such a huge presence on a cruise like that, considering what they're actually cruising for.

Sure, it's no excuse, and there's plenty of defectable cars... blah blah blah... but it's still bullshit.

I counted about 5 or 6 people getting defected... in the car park.

The end of the cricket was bloody awesome - apart from the fact that we lost.

Very exciting game though - never thought we would post such a low total either

Not liking the cricket is unAustralian and should be against the law. Fair enough test cricket can be a bit slow at times (that what all the beer drinking is for), but the one dayers are all action.

+1. I dont care how Pommie the game is, we have dominated it for decades, making it OUR game! Every team over the last 10 years at least have been waiting for this time, where Australia has to regrettably rebuild, and become a team again.

Decades? I guess you dont remember the 80s when the West Indies would rip the nads off the Australians repeatedly... and ya certainly can't claim it to be 'OUR' game when the indians are dominating the game from the admin level upwards...

Paint drying or cricket. At least with paint drying u get to kick back and admire the handiwork

so maybe years was the word i was after, not decades.

I still just dont see how a one dayer or 20-20 is boring to watch? Yesterdays game was boring, but a full on game like Aus v South Africa, aus posting the highest one day total ever, then south africa chasing it down. That was a damn exciting game to watch.

Dunno about 20/20, one dayers are >more< interesting to watch than test matches, but its still pretty bloody dull... and playing cricket in australian weather? 40+ ? Forgeddddit, you couldn't force me to be a spectator in those conditions, let alone a player... soccer, while boring as hell to watch (not least for the pansies that roll over clutching their legs and then taking a free kick without any visible physical discomfort) is actually pretty fun to play... afl, while its far far too athletic for a portly bloke like myself, can change at any given time and generally has more goals/points scored often than the single goal in soccer, or the occasional 6 hit in cricket.

Don't get me wrong. When the guys smash the ball and start running, it becomes interesting. But how many overs do u generally have to go thru before someone hits a screamer?

    • Hows your intake piping? Are you still running stock? Having in the stock AFM position would mean, if the BOV was shut/venting out, it'd create the almost stalling kind of effect right // "the rich pulse behaviour" due to MAF thinking air is flowing ? But this would be better than having the bov in the stock position + MAF on/just before cross over piping right?
    • Essentially, yes. Although I wouldn't put the AFM on the crossover pipe. I'd want to put it into what amounts to the correct size tube, which is more easily done in the intercooler pipework. I bought a mount tube for card stile AFM that replaces the stock AFM - although being a cheap AliExpress knockoff, it had not flange and I had to make and weld my own. But it is the same length and diameter as the stock RB AFM, goes on my airbox, etc etc. I don't have a sick enough rig to warrant anything different, and the swap will take 5 minutes (when I finally get around to it and the injectors & the dyno tune).
    • So to summarise, the best thing to do is to move recirc to between turbo and IC, and maf on the crossover pipe. Meaning I'd need a recirc flange, drill a hole in the piping on turbo outlet area. And drill hole on crossover to fit/weld maf sensor? Either that or put the MAF on the turbo inlet right?  Is an aftermarket recirc/blowoff valve recommended? Do currently have family in Japan so could probably bring something back with maybe a cheeky lil SuperAutobacs run?
    • Yep, so far most have said that it looks like corrosion on the wall from piston not moving. Which then has probably damaged the oil rings and caused those vertical marks. The longest the engine was still after the rebuild, was the winter of 2018 - 2019, plus the boat trip to Japan. When I shipped the car, it had normal gas in the tank but before that winter pause, it had E85 in tank.  In any case, even if either one of those was the cause, it happened close to 6 years ago and the car has been driven something like 30 000kms after the fact. Again, apart from the plugs and the dip stick, there is nothing in the way the car runs that would indicate what has been going on in the engine. I am going to consult a shop and ask their opinion, what would be the best approach. I do have some access to a garage I could use to diagnose further myself, but time is very restrictive. Might end up buying another engine that could be used while this one is being remedied. Without pulling the head, it will be impossible to find out if it needs another bore, but here's to hoping a hone would suffice.  Goddamnit, I would really have preferred this not happening.
    • Boot is going to be replaced eventually. I just wire brushed what I could and rust converted. Then painted in rust kill primer. the spoiler also got repainted and plugs replaced on the ends. The under side of the bonnet is going to be black also, currently white. But red on the top side, same colour code as the silo to begin.
