i have a rb20 and i want more out of it so i was considering going to a t3 turbo so that i can get more out of the engine and more power. but i just read in HIP that a guy high flowed his stock turbo and is running 1.5bar on it and just hitting under 200rwkw's.

How much does it cost to high flow the rb20 turbo????

and which is better sock with 1.5bar or vg30 turbo with 1.2 bar????

What do you guy like nice and quick response and 200rwkw's or little lag and 200rwkw's

cheers Dave

Hey it costs about $950 to high flow the standard turbo, but it hits full boost about 1000rpm later than standard. the steel wheels can take higher boost but its a slower response.

If the std turbo makes 200rwkw with 1.5bar and and the vg30 makes the same power with less boost it is probably much better for your engine (cooler, more dense air).

Ive been reading about the advantages of fitting an RB25 turbo to the RB20 with pretty awesome results running 1bar. im about to stick one on mine. ill let you know how it goes.
