My darling husband sold his R33 to purchase a more family friendly car (Ford XR6) so I could keep my R34.

My Ladyfriend is happy for me to own as many cars as I like (3 - which are all modded) and continue to modify them, just as long as I can pay the rent and don't touch her car!

I have the opposite problem.

Long term GF wants a new car, but is looking at either a supra or a prius.

I know that if I suggest the supra, she's going to be all about the prius.

She uses terrible language about it too. Horrible words..... Economy.... Eficiency.... Sensible.....

Horrible, horrible words.

Though, when I bought the skyline, she didn't have any input. She was a bit pissed though, as we were saving for a big holiday, and I didn't really need the car, but is was exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted to pay, so I put up with a bit of a short temper, bit the bullet and went shoe shopping with her. From then on it was :

"You're buying MORE parts for your car?"

"Yes baby."

"How much did THAT cost?"

"...Remind me again how much those new heels you bought were?...."

".... You hungry yet? Lets get dinner started."

Maybe that's it. If I can convince her that she can fit more shopping in a supra than a prius, it's in the bag! (pun intended!)
