Extreme Horsepower Show

I saw it, one of the first runs on Saturday.

The rear end wasnt tied down tight enough (I think) and the car moved forward and climbed the front wheel chocks.

It didnt instill me with any confidence in the dyno team, not sure what the final figure was for the car, but on that first run they only hit around 200kw (hate to think what could have happened if the car had lots of power)

200kw would be from wheel spin.. considering the car made 576rwkw

Doms rotor should have around 400, I have seen it run 360 with problems and I know there were a few dramas with the dyno over the weekend. I didnt see it run but I know there were a few complaints about the tie down situation.

Either way it was a good show all the same, with some great cars and bikes too. Would be nice to see some more hi tech representation next year tho....

Congrats cara for your trophies and dyno results,

Congrats also to SLED who had an amazing bike and a 34GTR at the show... lucky bugger. I was only told after the show that you were the same SLED on this forum!!

Yeah thanks Martin....I did check out your ride and the Sniper alongside yours, very nice.........would've liked to see you both pull a fuse and do a dyno run. The GTR's would've been a good crowd puller.

Congrats Cara & Pete on your trophies.

Pete - did you put the R34 GTR on the dyno?

Thanks Dave, would've been in it if they had a 4WD dyno..........I can't pull a fuse like a 32 GTR, I have to drop a shaft as well. :P

I would have if I wasn't working the whole weekend!! I ran it two days earlier at Southern Hi-Tech and had the dyno sheet on display instead.

R32 GTR... tuned at Southern Hi-Tech = 326.8kw at wheels (6/12/07)

Wow, I just notice the date on the fine print.......you gotta be happy with 326.

Congrats Cara, so what else do you have to do to make the magical 200rwkw you want (while still NA)?

umm...well the jets are actually 55 hp and not 75 hp which i origainlly was told ( i was given the wrong ones) sooo it would be a matter of getting my hands on that set and then doing a re tune to make sure everything is all good, and not running to lean or rich.....

but i have no more nos at the moment :P

and there is nothing coming up that i will need a full bottle for! (maybe in march/april tho when Debbie and Gary Myers come over for a one day event they were talking about at Gazzanats)

I would like to get some stage 1 or stage 2ncams in aswell as that will help with the n/a figure oh and a bigger fuel pump too lol :P

Yes pete, was very happy with 326.... I normally run 18psi which is just over 300 at the wheels but decided to wind it up to 21psi and see what happened!

I do have a few upgrades on the RB tho... :P
