Hi guys

Today after taking my cat to the vet were on the way home and BAM! he pisses all over my passenger seat so bad its soaked through and dripped on my carpet beneth the seat.

I pulled the seat out of the car and am getting the carpet steam cleaned tomorrow.

Any one else ever had a really bad problem like this?

I think my only option is to get a replacment seat.

OMFG never take your animals in your pride and joy :spank:

I once took my labrador in the skyline as a last resort. He had just had an operation to have a tumour removed from his shoulder.

Dog hair and blood all over the back seats and the fronts (He doesnt like to stay still)

Drove straight to the detailing shop and had a full interior clean done, came out alright..

Cat piss does stink though. Id take the seat out and hose it down with lots of disinfectant and soap and leave it in the sun to dry.

Good luck getting the smell of cat piss out haha.. I've got doubts you'll get rid of it. You may think you do, but as soon as you leave the car in the heat with the windows up I'm sure it will re-emerge! Anyone seen that BO epsiode of Seinfeld? Lol..

Let us know how you go.

clean it as best you can if youve got a big bathtub or something soak the seat with any/all detergents in the house (or possibly the same stuff used for shampooing carpet. and then days/weeks later once the seat is dry put it back in and never never close your windows again. :w00t: i hope you've learnt a valuable lesson. Animals are food - not pets. Jokes.

Well

The cars at the detailers. Going to be there for the next few days.

Lets hope its money well spent, and the results are positive.

Those jjr seats look ok, what kind of rail do you need to buy?

Any way ill let you know how it goes.

me :) cat

purchase a spray called 'urine off' which you can get at your local vet or maybe even a pet store. it should get rid of the smell/stain. it retails at my work for $22.30, have had some very good feedback from it. no gaurantees though

next time transport the cat in a cage. u can also purchase a grill which sits on the bottom of the cage. put a towel under the grill. that way, if the cat does piss itself, the towel should trap the piss, and you'll minimise the chance of the cat sitting in it's own urine. or you could go even further and cover the car seat in towels for extra contraception

    • I don’t really have any ideas how to set the timing on the CAS 😂, sounds like the top, sounds like it maybe misfiring as well as ticking,  got the box sorted 😌, must of been a air bubble on the clutch side
    • Use a 2' length of hose (that's 2 foot, not 2 inches) as a stethoscope to localise the source of the ticking. From cam covers? From exhaust or turbo manifold gasket? From injectors? From lower down in the engine? Etc. Use a timing light to set the timing. Put Redline Lightweight Shockproof in the box. It's not the very best thing for the box, but it will take a box that refuses to engage a gear with other oil, and make it engage a gear. I had to put it in when I installed the R33 box I have in my car. It would not select ANY gear when running. Smurf jizz made it work. That was >10 years ago and I still use it. I'm stuck with it now. Failing that - rebuild the box.
    • Well done Duncan. The fuel tank bulkhead lid is also in great condition (some of mine were stuffed). These are now out of production and good ones like that are becoming hard to come by.
    • Wow that's a steal, you've done well there.
