just wondering if a stuffed carbon canister can cause a slight miss at idle and the car to run rich.

i have been chasing this problem for a little while, first thinking is was the BOV, i have blocked this off, no change replaced most of my vacume lines and still no change, checked IC piping all is tight and no leaks. thought might be AFM so i have resoldered it and still no change, so i'm wondering if a stuffed purge valve on the carbon canistor could cause this?

mods to the car at the moment

FMIC, pod, no BOV, profec e01.

Im getting a similar problem with mine (weird missfire on idle) and havent been able to solve it yet (its getting less frequent though) have been told that a rorted O2 sensor could cause it so thats my next step, it should arrive by wednesday so will keep you posted.

how did you go with the 02 sensor

i a small air leak, which seems to have fixed up most of the miss however still have a very slight one so interested in how you went

Changed it last night and the car still has a slight misfire (a lot less frequent though, maybe 1 every 20 seconds compared to the 5 every 10 seconds before) but all my other problems are fixed now because the O2 sensor was pretty much dead, was covered in soot and muck and looked like it was the factory one :X
