i traced the carpet off the floor in my 34 to make a false floor but its not really a false floor its just a ply wood cutout with a thin layer of foam underneath to stop vibration. i would imagine if i want a false floor i would probably make a foam mould or something of the like. would be a messy process but well worth it coz you can get it real flat and moulded perfectly to the contours of the boot. and it wont be so heavy either >_<

trace carpet onto mdf then test fit it into boot might have to trim here and there

i did this made 2 struts across the floor of the boot and placed the amp in the tyre well and 3mm mdf to cover the stuff and perspex and place the sub on top :)

in my sig you can see the false floor.

The floor is actually 2 pieces...each side fitting together to make a snug fit around the subs and amps. Removing the 2 pieces shows the sub box with 2 shelves to hold the amps.
