Look in the for sale section. There is always some one wrecking an R33. They don't normally advertise the antenna as not many people buy it, so just PM them to see if they have it. Thats what I did and scored one for $20. And don't worry about series I or series II either. They are both the same. :worship:

Ah sweet, I'll have to keep an eye on the for sale forum now. Thanks for your help again! I'll probably head down to clark rubber and see if I can get anything for a temporary fix in the mean time.

Well my temporary fix has turned out to be a permanent fix! Got some rubber o-rings from both clark rubber and bunnings, the one from clark rubber stopped the antenna falling out... but only 1 section would be raised. Tried out the o-ring I got from bunnings and it works perfectly. Stops the last section of the antenna from coming out, so it can be half or fully extended with no problems. Total cost to fix, $2! Gotta be happy with that

Hey Big Col, that sounds interesting to try. Would you know what the rubber sizes are or what the product name and type or picture of what it is?

Can't remember what size rubber o-ring I used as it was ages ago, but the product name is "Bulk Pack O-Rings Pack of 225"... here's a pretty picture of it :D

I think it might have been the ones in the section 2nd up from the bottom on the right-hand side. BTW the antenna is still going strong, haven't had any problems after doing this so it's a good cheap fix.
