Turbo Cool Down Question

Hey All,

Recently got an R32 GTR and i'd like to know how long should I keep the car running after driving around before shutting it off?

Also, is it worth while getting a turbo timer installed?

Any feedback is appreciated.

I just dont boost it up for about the last km of the drive, then let it idle while i get out of the car, turn it off last, about 15-20 secs. If youve been giving it heaps, then its different of course.

^^ yep. any more than that is a waste of time and a waste of petrol. I have a turbo timer integrated with my alarm but only so I can grab my keys and jump out of the car. I switch the car off and then arm it, I could count on one hand the number of times I've let it run the full 90 seconds.

going by the manual it says:

Normal city driving = idle not necessary

High speed (~80km) = 20 seconds

High speed (~100km) = 1 minute

Steep mountain or continued driving above 100km = 2 minutes

Just drive calmly and casually for the last 5 minutes or so before you stop and let it idle for 10 seconds and your set.
