Sensor On R33 Dash

Hey everyone,

I have noticed there is a sensor on the top of my dash next to the front windscreen demisters. By the look of it its appears to be a light sensor, and pointing upwards would also suggest this. So it would seem it has something to do with the headlights, this would then suggest that the headlights are in some way automatic or respond to this sensor.

Yes I have done a search but it was inconclusive. Should my head lights turn off/on automatically.

Pretty sure if its passenger side of the dash... its a sensor for the automatic setting on the climate control...

Yeah thats the one. So it is a heat sensor or............

From memory it just reads the inside cabin temperature for the climate control ... there was a thread somewhere a while ago on this.... not sure where though??

It's a "sunlight" sensor for the climate control.
