I must say these cars are unbelievable. Also the 1982 model is one of the most desired version because its just before they restricted the power in the 16v versions and the 32v versions cant be boosted as high and don't sound as good.

I use to drive a manual version with 60,000 original kms. Had been in the family since new. They are actually easy to drift with the 50/50 weight distribution and they have the best sounding V8 engine ever. There are turbo kits for $7k that make them 450rwhp.

If I was you mate I'd keep the car and go for the corvette c6 manual conversion
