Hey guys, i got my stock 98' R34 Gt-t a major service a few weeks back as i hadn't taken it in for one since i bought it (only 2 months) and included in the service was a dyno run,

now i was under the impression that a stock R34 would put out 206kW, my print out shows it maxing out at 159.7kW at about 170km/h in 4th gear

It was running with Caltex Vortex 98 petrol and would have had the oil change to Castrol Edge 0w40

It also has a Walbro 255l/hr fuel pump if that makes a difference, (i guess its not 100% stock)

Is this anywhere near correct or should i be taking it somewhere else for another dyno run to confirm?

any thoughts would be appreciated

Steve

Yep, the difference is in the fact that the factory power figures are at the flywheel, whereas the dyno is most likely a chassis dyno, meaning the output is at the rear wheels. That is where the term rwkw (rear wheel kilowatts) comes from.
