Nah, it sounds like your car is normal, the light is meant to turn off after the motor has started. that sound you can hear when you turn the key, just before you start the motor is the fuel pump, not the hicas. Hicas is shit anyway, but it sounds like yours is perfectly normal.

hicas is shit, disable it

run the diagnostics to see if anything is wrong: from memory start the car in neutral, pump brake pedal 5 times quickly and then once for a couple of seconds, then put the car in gear and drive forward about 10m. the hicas light will flash an error code. do a search for what these mean

Im a little concerned with my Skylines HICAS, for some people who dont know what HICAS is ,its a 4 Wheel Steering on skylines.

i think everyone on these forums knows what hicas is as a new hicas question pops up every 2nd day :D

the rear wheels dont move when the car is stationary. some people believe that they only move when the car goes above 80km per hour however this is incorrect. its more like 30 km per hour. you will know you have a problem when your light comes on in your dash and stay on while you are driving.

thanks for telling us what hicas is ;)

    • I used to have Walbro 255's when they were a pretty common update. (or were they 044? 040?) In any case I had a dirty tank. I thought the tank was good, but I would find the filter would clog in maybe ~50km of driving. If the issue persists, well, your fuel system or tank has crap in it that the pump is sucking up.
    • Hi. Ok thanks for the info. I/we do not know what tune is on that Nistune ECU so it is why there is stock ECU and that Nistune is for later when the car is done. I have guy who tunes Nistune and other ECU so i will then take it to him to see and properly tune for the car   And for the update. On 99,9% it is bad fuel pump. Which is wierd cuz it is like 2 years old(brand new walbro 255) and that filter (also brand new) was dirty.  I was alwaya pumped premium(100) on very good petrol station so i dont know how is that possible...
    • Dear folks My family members have 4 different cars : Triton 2015 and Corolla 2011 and Mazda3 2012 and Hyundai Elantra 2014 Looking to buy engine oil funnel spill free What I found are are below  https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BBTTJNKX?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image&th=1 https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/145553221359?srsltid=AfmBOoqYBU6Ptw0LU_bAp_k67U3qkF97HHvePkA7iHZw8vUmiwoIRaRr https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X23TCS5?th=1 Is there a funnel with attachment that fits most cars ? Don't mind to spend for a decent quality  Thx
    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
