How does the firmware thing work?

When you get the psp it has the official sony firmware which is uber gay, but this has been re-flashed (hacked) so that you can play dl'd games, usually get them off torrent sites, but all you do is just drag and drop what games you want onto the memory stick. There are different custom firmwares but this is one of the best and most stable, as in the games will work 100% the only time they wont is o the filename is too long and stuff like that.

With that it also means you can play ps1&2 games as in Gran Turismo 2 etc, which is good fun when your bored and the beauty of these little babies is that heaps of the games have had FMV scenes etc cut out so the game is only about 20MB meaning you can fit a shitload of games on there.

edit: the reason that sony releases more firmwares is to stop this sort of stuff happening, hence this is one of the highest custom firmware.
