R33GOD, not sure if this is relevant.

I've got a slide high-flow too. It's the VG30 one though. Mine spools up quick and comes on real hard. On my 34, i'm pulling 240rwkw on just 12 psi. And that's on a piggy back ecu. Will be running more boost soon once i fix on either a motec M48 or power FC.

Understand how you feel mate, i would be disappointed if i can't have my turbo performing at its peak level. However, we all have to agree Aaron made hell of a good hi flow :)

definately a good turbo for a standard hiflow. guess i could miss out of a few kw by having a better spool up than most other brands.

And for the price i paid overall i am satisfied

well 2nd gear breaks traction at 80% throttle without droppin the clutch so im happy. And i got thick 265's on the rear :D

how do u find lag with the vg30 rear and when do u get fullboost by?

also spoke to the tuner today and told me that it made more torque than when it had 240rwk previously.

so im happier now. And damn it gets to speed quicker

hey sloutch

what support mod are you running? to make 240 just wondering..

cheers

albert

i guess it will have to do for now. if i get bored with it il get a nice big turbo next yr. But what turbo to make the most out of my supporting mods...... :P

To get a bigger turbo you'll probably sacrifice response for top end power.

IMO, an upgrade from the hi-flow might be the HKS 2835 pro s which seems to be able to break the 300rwkw mark and not too much lag and it can be internal gated.

I hit full boost at 12 psi at 3700 rpm.

Mods: full exhaust, fuel pump, fmic, pod, injectors. I guess the engine is pretty healthy, on my stock turbo, i made 210rwkw on just 10psi.

This may be a stupid question but where are you taking your boost reading from? If it is from the inlet plenum (standard location) it could be possible that the turbo is running at 19psi, and you simply have a few psi pressure drop across your intercooler, piping etc?

Just putting it out there you think it would of been better to go with say a hypergear turbo i got one myself sitting there waiting to go on and got mate with them on there cars and they are good will get you the numbers you wanted

since i got it tuned i personally havent driven it but was in the passanger seat. went better.

first time i took it for a drive yesterday and its sooo much more powerful and responsive than when it had 241rwk. i just couldnt believe how much better a car can go with less rwk. why is that? its got me puzzled

figured out how much peak torque it has too. 540nm torque at the fly :whistling:

Edited by R33GOD
could have a better torque curve, making it feel faster, but the most likely explanation is that you were sitting in the passenger seat, this always feels faster than driving

this is when i drove it for the first time a few days ago..

R33GOD - I just dropped my 33 off at Unigroup up here in Sydney.

Last time it was there they fitted the hi-flow and EBC.

Now Im going 550 injectors, z32 AFM and retune so I'll let you know how mine goes :)
