I did something very stupid....left the headlights on with my R32. I plugged my portable battery recharge unit onto the battery but put red onto black and black onto red connectors (saw big sparks). I know very stupid...I did it in the dark lol.

Anyway everything in the car seems to be working 100% except there is no power to the cd deck. I've replaced the audio fuse according this website http://www.skylinegts.co.uk/R32-Fuses.htm but that didn't make any difference. Anyone have any other ideas? I don't care if the cd deck is dead...I got another one just don't know how to install it.

im not to familiar with the 32 dash set up, but with the 33 you remove the ash tray and there is a screw behind there, once that is removed you can pop the plastic off around the gear stick, this reveals more screws wich will give you access to the upper part of the dash. make sure you make notes of what screw goes where. theres nothing more anoying than putting it all back together and having one screw left over.
