Leaking Water Under Car When A/c Is On

Im so lost about a/c and how it works in cars...Whenever i turn the air conditioner on in the car, it leaks water underneath the car...Is that supposed to be normal or not??

A/c is basically a de-humidifier - it removes moisture from the air. When that moisture condenses, it drips.

Its a bi-product of cooling air in the evaporator. The difference between internal and external temperatures creates condensation on the outside of the evaporator, which eventually builds up enough to drip and thats what your drip tray/evaporator box is for. This has a outlet on it which drains to under the car.
